This is a spoofed or faked number. If someone is hiding their identity, that is not someone you need to talk to. I think you can ignore the calls and block the number.

This person left a minute long message saying that he was selling healthcare benefits.

The call was from "Amy" contacting me about my federal student loans and how I can be eligible for a lower payment. I do not have student loans - I'm in my 50s! The number came from 900-999-9999 but she said to call 949-298-2131.

Ameriquest Mortgage.  Some guy named James says "I've been trying to reach you.  You went online recently looking for a mortgage loan."  I never did that.  Just a scam from Ameriquest Mortgage.  I blocked them

To Readers and Posters - This number has been reported since 2010 as being used for an number of scams.  Scammers like this number and spoof it into your caller ID since it can't be called back or connected to the crooks.

Also, it is what I call a Magical Number.  It looks unusual and so people get curious about call and answer the phone thinking something wonderful will happen.  But...it never does and your only reward is more calls from scammers.

They left a vm on my cell and said it was related to a student loan,  (Never had one, Hope to God I never do).  Call back name and # William Banks949 229 4166. SO I called and said I'd reported them to local police. Male said he was w/ Federal Government Student loan. I hung up and called back. I said I'd never had one, do I sound like a student and don't call me again.

Called me and said it was the about the warenty on my Hyundai he said his name is frank  called it back from different phone and it was music and a recording came in and said good bye

This number called me today and this is the message via voicemail: “Hi this is Frank I was calling you regarding a Nissan factory warranty on the vehicle we called you several times and also _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ mailers not sure where we haven't heard back um but it is imperative we speak today to keep this file open my number is 800-262-3829 it is really important that I speak to you regarding your Nissan um I've also let my colleagues know also if you do call when I'm on the phone just give them the year and model of your Nissan and they will give you the coverage options once again my number is 800-262-3829 thank you…”

Didn't answer it and when I checked messages it was a Holly Jones asking me to call her back about student loans repayment options

I received the exact same message except for my HONDA. The number they gave you to call, is the EXACT same number they gave me. Lots of noise in the background. You can imagine how many people are calling everyone, and how the hell can they know each of the ‘victims’ car info!!

Got a call from this number.  Left message about car warranty, about a car that I don't even own.  Told me to call 800-262-3829.

Message from "Alley with Student Loan Services" says I'm eligible.

I got a voicemail but no phone call from someone claiming to be from the department of labor telling me to call back about my unemployment insurance will be unavailable. She gave a different number to call back. When I called it, I reached a recording telling me to leave a message with my name and full social security number... How [***] stupid do these people think I am? But I wanna know how someone got my info and knew I have unemployment benefits.
