- MarySome one from this number called our office today and tried to say we called him and wanted some work done. He said he did not get the person's name who contacted him from our company. He was rude and kept saying he needed the name of our Maintenance Supv. I told him it could be one of three different people. He kept saying we contacted him. I transferred this call over to my supervisor and he hung up.
This is definitely a scam. Be careful. After reading the reviews I see where he charges you for talking to him over the phone. What a lousy way to make a living.- Caller: Commercial Electric

- MargaretJust received a call from this number - caller requested our Building Manager by name (because he had already called and reached another employee that gave his name) - I transferred him and he rang back to me stating he got the voice mail and would I page him. I asked who was calling and the reason and he stated he gave me a part number and I wrote it down wrong and I need to get the right one... I placed him on hold and he hung up.

- BS CallerI received the same call today. He called 3 times. Every time he asked for our Maintenance department. His name was "Tom" from "National". It's BS. Each time, we placed him on hold and he hung up, only to call back. He wasn't rude to anyone in the office that spoke to him. He did have quite the elaborate story... He had a drunkin weekend and broke his phone. Now he is missing the contact. He was very persistant. Oh well. Be careful everyone!
- TIFFANYAFTER I WOULDN'T GIVE GUY OUR MAINTENECE GUYS PHONE NUMBER HE TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO KILL HIMSELF AND IF I SEEN SOMETHING ON TV TONIGHT ABOUT IT THEN IT WAS MY FAULT... REALLY?!

- DaveI have been getting calls from this # too. 909-670-2295 It's the usual maintenance scam. They come across as, "I'm with your lighting company and we need to get that PO for the bulb order". This time he said his name was Charles. He has no clue about who we do business with or the name of anyone. This call was from Claremont, CA, but I have gotten calls from Florida too. These people must really be desperate!

- dave| 1 replyNot as desperate as you think dave, we call every buisness in america and theres about 40 complaints on here....do the math:)
- TobeWan replies to dave40 people actually took the time to complain, you slimebag.....the rest probably figure you and your company aren't worth the keystrokes.
If I were you, I'd check my pants for smoke....because they are definitely on fire, Dude. - TobeWanThese guys call us about once a month. Today it was "...yeah, I'm returning a call from your Maintenance guy, but I didn't get his name, but it was about your shop..."
#1 - We don't have a maintenance person - or a shop
#2 - We don't have any men working at this office
When I told him he was out of luck, he asked who we were......Really?? you called us and you want to know who WE are. He has a very condescending attitude, and I venture to guess he is overcompensating for a small part of his anatomy.- Caller: La Verne CA

- JWHAT AN [***]! Just called earlier this am and was rude to one of my co-workers. Luckily he got me the second time around. He was looking for our superintendent. I put him on hold for 2 minutes, I go back saying, who are you looking for, put him on hold again. I go back and say did you say bob or rob? He said the wrong name and hung up on him. I hope he calls back so I can do a Jerky Boys skit to him. I SAID FRANK RIZZO, OPEN YOUR [***] EARS [***]!

- TinaSame deal gives a name and wants to speak to the guy in maint that ordered a part but he doesn't remember name, to which I replied I don't think so and he tries to keep going and I just hung up on him. They have called several times before.

- CAsked for Joe, then hung up. There's no Joe who works here.
- Tired of the DishonestyClaimed to be from Standard Electric and called for the guy in the Maintenance Dept. Caller said he was in the warehouse getting our part but needed to talk to the guy, whose name he couldn't remember, to make sure it was the correct one.
We actually do business with a similarly named company, so it was good ploy on that aspect. Where it fell apart was the company we do business with wouldn't forget the names the people in our Maintenance Dept.
I am not sure what they were after and after reading the posts here, I still don't understand. I am curious though, how they can bill a company for talking on the phone, if they initiated the phone call?
If anyone could enlighten me I would appreciate it.
These dishonest people who are out there scamming people seem to be crawling out the woodwork just like cockroaches. The more information shared about these scams the better. It helps us 'stomp' on them.- Caller: Standard Electric (bogus)
- No sir!!Got this call today "John from Standard" wanted to talk to the maintenance guy. I said im not sure who that would be, what kind of maintenance? He said, he just talked to him last week and forgot his name. I put him on hold to google the number and saw these posts (thank goodness!) When I got back on the phone there was total silence, like I was on mute and it was a different guy. I just hung up. Then they immediately called back!! I just let it ring. WOW, WHAT A RUDE MAN!!! Glad we can all stick together and not let these type of people bully us over and get past us!!!

- KristenI've had the same experience with this phone number as everyone else. They are rude, persistent, and will not take no for an answer. I just pick up the phone and hang it up every time they call, then file a complaint with the Do Not Call List (https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx) since our number is on the registry.

- FrustratedWoman called asking for the person in charge of building maintenance. We take care of our own maintenance, so I informed her we were not interested. She called back, and I told her the same thing again. She called back again to tell me how rude, and that I need to know why she is calling before I tell her no. She must have called here before, and had a co-workers name handy, said she would call back and talk to the co-worker, as if she was on a first name basis with them.
When I googled the number she called from, just as I suspected...I left a message on their recording to not call here again, we will see if they do. I will be ready to be rude again!!- Caller: not sure

- Office ManagerJust got a call from someone who asked to talk to the maintenance manager. He said he was calling from Standard Industries. I told him that the manager doesn't really hang out at this office, and who was he calling on behalf of/what information was he trying to get. I asked him if he did get the manager on the phone, what information would he be trying to get, and was he trying to sell him something. He said no, he just wanted to talk. I pressed him a little more.....and then he hung up, and I found this site. Hopefully this is the last time they call.

- ReceptionistI experienced the same thing as the other posters here, although I was fortunate enough to get a friendly scammer. He tried to make it seem like he had spoken with our General Manager already... "I spoke to someone last week about maintenance for your building, who was that?" (Now I knew it was a scam--how could you not know who you spoke to? Didn't you take notes?) When I told him our General Manager was off today and offered voicemail he said, "Well I'm at the warehouse right now getting the parts he wanted, can I have his cell phone number?" (Not happening, pal.) Definitely a fishy phone call, probably trying to sell some crap nobody wants.
