I got him today. Said his name was Bill. And he wanted to speak to the building engineer he was just talking to.  Told me that I was probably the coolest kid in high school and he wanted to be like me.  That is why he became a cop.  Very entertaining conversation.

Called wanting to know if I was the company that did maintenance on the Spectrum Building. That a lady had given him the number. I told him we were not affiliated with the property.  With that he proceeded to say we were lying and he didn't like liars.  I then proceeded to hang up.

This guy called my office today as well. Fortunately, I caught on right away and played dumb the entire time. haha. He became frustrated and hung up on me. He wanted to know what the name was of the people who handled our maintenance and all here at my building. I told him nobody handles it.

Got a call from these people today.  He said his name was Bill and that he was an electrician (who worked for himself) who was at a parts store trying to get in touch with my maintenance man so he didn't buy the wrong part.  I told him that there was no maintenance man for that location and he then decided to get very rude and basically told me that i was stupid for not knowing who my own maintenance man was.  I wish people like this would get a real job.  I understand telemarketing and I get that everyone is just trying to feed their family, but do you have to be rude??

Jack from Standard Lighting called my office today. He was very convincing that he had a prior relationship with our company, knew (or guessed at) the type of light bulbs we used and told me he would be sending us their new catalog with a free gift. He also added in they were going to send us half a case of the bulbs we use. I informed him that we are fully stocked but he just kept asking for a purchase number. After I hung up, someone from their "customer service" department (443-883-8334) called to confirm our address for the order of bulbs and I told him that whatever they send we will refuse to accept. He said ok but they will send us a catalog and to call them if we need anything.

So this jerk calls me today from 909-670-2295, never identified who he was or what he wanted. Just kept saying HELLO? everythime I stated the name of the company I work for when I answered the phone. Finally I just hung up. He called me back instantly, I answered very loudly. He yells, CAN YOU HEAR ME KNOW??? I reply, can I help you. His response was, from the sounds of it, you can't even help yourself and he hung up. Seriously? This idiot shouldn't even be allowed to have phone privaledges!

They said they were our copier company and wanted the model and serial number for verification of our copierrs.  We received an invoice from them 18 months ago for toner ($900 for 2 toners).  Hindsight says we should have contacted the police because that is mail fraud punishable by jail time.  Funny thing is when I told him we were onto his scam he became threatening on the phone.  I hung up and he called right back.  Someone needs to arrest these fools.

A guy called asking for the person who is in charge of maintenance on the building. Was very rude when I explained to him that we rent our space.  He was very persistent and demanded to speak with my superior.

Received call this a.m. asking for the head of maintenance, he had the name.  I asked who he was and he said the electric guy!! I said do you have a name and what company you are calling from?  He said Jim Burke from National Electric!  I said that our person would have given you his cell number. Well he said his phone was dead and I said how are you calling me?  Well he said I am on a shop phone and can only dial out.  Give me his cell number.  I put him on hold for along time.  I talked with our maintenance person and he said he never heard of him.  I told "Jim" that no one ever heard of him and hung up on him before he could hang up on me.  While I had him on hold, I googled his phone number and found this web site.  What a waste of time.

Actually there is a company named National Electric, Standard Electric Co and one Standard Electric Supply that our company does business with.  Just the guys behavior clues you in to the scam.

Steve from National is still active claiming he wanted to talk about lighting fixtures.  Then decided he wanted to send a gift to us with his new catalog.  To hours later a guy named Jim called back and stated he was from shipping and wanted to verify our address, turns out it was the same person from earlier using different names.  What a joke, these people need to be banned.  

I got the same call today - said he spoke with someone yesterday and was trying to get back in touch with them regarding the maintenance in our building - had the wrong address, couldn't provide a name...keep trying to dig - finally told him "there is no way you spoke with anyone yesterday, as there is nobody in charge of maintenance from my company, no person here handles even the light bulbs in our ceilings - the landlord handles that, but nice try".....he was rude as well.

He just called our company asking for "Shipping". When I questioned him for details and did not put his call through, he cussed at me and hung up.

Got a call from this Jerk, said he was delivering a "switch" to us and need to talk to someone, he was put on hold and passed to me. When I picked up he hung up in my ear....I returned the call, got v-mail left a message for the SOB.....

Extrememly RUDE! He kept asking for "Chris in Maintenance". Fishing. He then said he was John the electrician. Considering I know every person in this building over the past two years, he most certainly is not. Just before hanging up, he called me a F*****G B***H. Way to get some business.  

Recieved a call at my office and on my cell phone as my office thought that he was someone I was working with.  He said his name was John with National.  He had my office address and acted like I knew him.  He said he was going to go ahead an send out a half box of light flourescent bulbs.   He asked me if I wanted to creat e PO over the phone.  
I told him that I was not placing an order, that I did not need light bulbs.  Then he just hung up on me.  Beware!!

This number calls a lot. This time he said he was "Frank from National Electric" and wanted to talk to our mechanic because he was verifying a part number. Told him he was not here, and he got very rude. Told him I was pretty sure I had asked him to stop calling and he said "pretty sure I'll call you back" and hung up on me. Real winner here.

Tom from Midway called today! This is only their second call to our company and he has not been rude yet, but definitely does not know what he is talking about then tried to get the owners cell phone number. I actually had to ask him what company he was with and when I asked him if I could take a message he told me NO that he was in the warehouse and didn't have that information for me...really?!

I have been getting calls from these morons for months on end. You would think that they would give up because I've not fell for their little game at all. They always have a different name with a different company, but always want "who's in charge of maintenance?" Today their story was that they needed to verify a part # on a junction box...I always get hung up on.

Steve called saying he only had this one phone number out of all the tenants (over 100) in our building and he wanted me to put him through to the building maintenance manager.  

I gave him a taste of his own medicine and kept him on hold until he hung up because I recognized the number
