just got a call from this number, no msg... googled it and found these posts... I would guess that someone being harassed by these people should contact legal counsel.  particularly if they are calling neighbors.  most credit counselors have attorneys on staff, and many credit counselors are govt. subsidized, so talking to one would be low cost if not free.   at a minimum, send a letter to your state attorney general's office reporting the company and tactics. if they get enough letters, they will look into the company. (and now I'm wondering which neighbor is struggling?)

exactly what they are doing to me. Calling business, no answer, they call cell within seconds. never leave a message

Keep getting calls from this number trying to reach someone with a name similar to mine. Has called my number and my husbands. Mailed bills to the house and told them they had the wrong person and address. Said they would correct this and then started getting the phone calls. Have told them on numerous occasions they have the wrong person and wrong number. All my bills are paid and up to date. Really getting tired of this.

Yes they are and depending where you live you can get up to 1,500 per call. Massachusetts is one. Good luck!

Who is this ? Why are they calling me

This company  or entity keeps calling and will not identify themselselves other than its regarding a private matter. Well my life is private and with all the scams and fraud out there they are not allowed to hasle me or rip me off. I am disabled and private matters are my business not thiers, They need to cease and desist which I informed them as such. My line is recored as well so stop the harrassement You record me I have the right to do the same.

I'm on the do not call list, and they have no reason to be calling me.

Received a call from this number today. They were looking for a person named Julie. I said I didn't know her (I don't) and he hung up. Seems to be a theme here.

Called from this number a few times, asked for someone who does not live here. He wanted the number, I said I do not give out anyone's to someone I do not know. He got very huffy and tried to over talk me with raised voice.

You are mistaken. They are not allowed to ask you to give messages to your neighbor only to ask if they live there. Anything else is a violation of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, period.

You are mistaken. The law is that agencies are allowed to call neighbors and ask if they know where you live. Under no circumstances are they permitted to request a message about collections to be given to a neighbor.

He identifies hisself as ben hearty and asked for a person i dont even know .....He also never said who he was or what he wanted.

i recommend you get a phone/answering combo  that blocks even 1 ring from happening on your side.

There are several phones of that style for ~75$ from 2 Japanese companies, thgink panasonic is one.

The DO NOT CALL itself is a joke i've added myself to that DNCALL list several times and if wan to sue it'll cost me more. STOP THE PHONE FROM ringing even once.

i added messages that after the phone rings AT THEIR END the automated messages tells THEM "i'll be back in 10 secs please hold", them after "20 secs", then  "wait one min  something is on the stove", " sounds of kids arguing in background". WASTE THEIR TIME waiting for you.

 YOUR RECEIVER NEVER COMES OFF so a REAL or FAMILY  call can be taken.  All that happens is they call, since their number is set to the black list and also to MUTE RING, no ring happen on your end just in their ears.  Then the answering machine of those phones has a chip with up to 5 minutes of prerecorded excuses for them to wait.

Actually, it is illegal for them to discuss private matters with a "neighbor" and it would be harassment if they continue to call someone about someone else.  It is not their debt they are calling them about, but allegedly the neighbor.

Didn't answer. They left voice message looking for someone I've never heard of. If i know where that person lives I should call them back. Yeah, right.

Always be aware of scams, never answer a # you don't recognize. Never answer with your name to a # you don't recognize.

received call on my cellphone which is used only for family not for business calls.
believe it was random - did not answer and it did not go to voice mail
