Same here - got a message saying they were lowering my credit card interest rate -  SCAM ALERT!

So I got a call from this number at 2 o'clock yesterday. I didn't recognize the area code so I didn't call back. Then today I was checking my phone and somehow I had a two hour phone call in progress with them. Naturally I ended the call. Then they called me again at 2 o'clock and I ignored it.

Just got called with a machine voice offering lower interest rates. It gave the option to press 1 to speak o an operator. After doing so, and telling them I do not have a credit card, they hung up on me. Most likely a scam.

Just got the call.  Caller barely spoke English, but said they lower Visa and MC rates for BOA, Citi, Chase, Wells Fargo, etc.  Seemed like an obvious attempt to get my credit card info.  I asked which card they would lower and was told "all of them."  She asked if I had over $3,500 on my cards.  I asked if I could call them back and she hung up.

Got a call from 916-219-9223 ... 1:54 PM credit card interest rates

received call on 9/18/12 at 11:00 am did not answer. No message lift on the not no call list also for what good it does.

My story is the same:  Caller from 916-219-9223 said that I was eligible for a lower interest rate and then asked from my credit card expiration date.  When I told him that he should have all of my information on his screen, and that I could verify it, suddenly I was ineligible for the offer and he hung up.

Another lesson to never give an personal information (no matter how small or inconsequential) to anyone, over the phone.
