Part of a fraud campaign targeting numerous financial institutions.  Note the pattern of shill postings all claiming the number is genuine - an obvious giveaway.

The large number of phony posts claiming the call is real come from the fraudsters themselves spamming the site to try to fool people.  There is a similar pattern to other fake calls claiming to be from Chase, Citibank, Bank of America, US Bank, Wells Fargo, RBC, PayPal, etc. all with the same shill postings:

A man with a thick accent called me this morning, I missed the call, he left a voicemail mumbling he was from Amazon, knew my full name and number and was calling to verify the purchase of SOMETHING that I couldn't understand because he mumbled it and because of his accent, but sounded nothing like what I had ordered and already received days before the call, and that he'd call me back in 15 mins. He called me back, I mistakenly missed the call again because I was activating a different card, cuz my bank had sent me a new one because my "security has been compromised" even before I made this purchase. This is some shady stuff. I've seen so many people on here giving info away, DON'T GIVE ANY OF YOUR INFO AWAY, NOT EVEN YOUR NAME, ASK ASK ASK. These people are a scam. Don't believe anyone who will tell you otherwise on here either, they are a scam as well, anyone can post here, they are just trying to get your information and compromise your security.

Beware, they are using this other number too: 918066055000. It is a SCAM.

Call from "Amazon.com" today asking if I purchased a laptop.  Told them no, they recommended I call me bank and cancel my credit card.

Called Amazon, no record of a laptop purchase and no record that anyone from Amazon had called me.

No credit card activity according to the bank.

A call from this number,which I did not answer, was actually legit; it was our corporate IT call center in India. He left a detailed message and followed-up with an email to a service call I had placed on our corporate Help Desk line.

I got a call from this number for job opening..unfortunately I couldn't speak..can you please call back..The call was from HR by name Amruta
