Same as the rest-using 66501-r-66601.  first one says yahoo user trying to send txt then comes next, both almost tripping over each other.  Great forum here for sharing and advising.

I got a message from 924-665-01 that said "lilmookdowg:bit.ly/oQ2CpE?798"  and then right after that I recieved a message from 924-666-01 saying "A Yahoo! user is trying to send you a text message. When it arrives, select 'Reply' to continue with the conversation. For more info, visit, mobile.yahoo.com"  I don't know what this is, but I don't know anyone with Yahoo messaging.

I have no idea who or what sent me a "message," and I have no intentions of finding out.  I deleted it since I didn't want to get spammed with even more messages or have my security compromised.

It was receiving non-solicited messages like these why I shut off the texting feature of my cellphone since I rarely used it.  Might have to do that again!

I got this text from 92466501 at 10:42am today, and yes, in my cell phone records show it listed like that. It came with a link inbedded in another text follow it.

I am curious to know how this spammer got my number, For years my phone number until I used it for school, medical, then I mistakenly it for registering a purchase instead of my home like usually do.

i received a text from this number. All it said was 'wyolonelygirl' with a link attached. i did not click on this link. That text was sent at 6:54 pm Hawaii time. i also received a text from another number showing sent 6:54 as well. But the sender's number was different 92466000.  It said "A Yahoo! user is trying to send you a text message.  When it arrives, select 'Reply' to continue the conversation. Earlier that day i received a pop-up Yahoo chat from a person i don't know. Her name was MelindaPulos Cxanare. She spoke in Tagalog (Filipino language) wanted to know if i was related to someone she knew and that we spoke earlier that day.  Honestly don't know who this person is. i never responded to the chat box. But i'm wondering if all three incidents are related to each other...

I just got the text and it said, and I quote:[aoun.ali150: bit.ly/qUnsRO?401]

I read in another comment to put 00 in front of the number and that will block it. I don't know if it works, but you can try it and see.

got the same msg w an attachmemt to a website . there has to be a way of tracing this person!

Got a text just a few minutes ago from 92466501 with tthe link fart_kenny:bit.ly/pW14Eu?448 and an additional msg that a Yahoo user is trying to contact me. I don't think so!

got a call from this number but i did  not answer it, earlier today i got a call from a simliar #924-6600-00 saying a yahoo user was tying to send me a text message and wanted me to elect reply, which i di not. proir to this message i had a text come thru from an interantional # written in spanish

Wow. None of you have realized it's not just some person? 9266501 is the number for ALL yahoo messenger messages / calls to phones, whether it is a person at a computer or a spambot since yahoo is full of em... just like aim is 246246 (aimaim) and facebook is 32665 (fbook) - 92466501 = yahoo501.

It gave Me a link. ghm.fghj: bit.() ly/qyx7K3?163 ... along with my family. Very odd. Opens up a tracker page then a "Free 1,000$ wal*mart gift card" Page.. I opend it on a rooted tablet, and sugest not opening the link, because it does track you. I destroied the link already, so it will not actually pop up on this, I sugest not opening any links, EVER, that you d not know where they are from.

This number is generated by Yahoo Messenger. Yahoo Messenger is able to send SMS (text) messages to mobile phones. To send a message, the recipient’s phone number is entered in Yahoo Messenger. Yahoo sends the message to the recipient’s phone using this number, or a very similar number, as the “from” number. This number is not associated with a specific individual. Hundreds of people can send SMS messages and all have the same originating number.

The message itself will have the originator’s user name at the beginning of the message. The only way to get a real name is to go through Yahoo security. However Yahoo and other big company security departments do not give information to the public. They only deal with law enforcement.  If these messages are threatening or harassing you need to file a police report.
