got this weird text from 92601 saying "hey its Aylissa" smittyloveselmo

i received 26 messages for this number, and i believe it is a scamer who have yahoo accounts.  block them when they come to your phone.

I got a message from 926-01 on my phone nr 6233418191

They are identity thieves based in Nigeria and UK. They meet you on dating sites or other online want ads. ie: craigslist.  then tell you some sob story (family member dying, sick and out of work, etc) to send them money. They piece by piece try to social engineer who you are, try to obtain online account information and then open bank accounts with your info to conduct illegal wire transfers. They are organized mob criminals, most likely funding terrorists - Boko Haram in Nigeria.

Received emails and yahoo messages from Tom Chavis who found me on a dating site- OKCupid- saying he was in the Army.  We wrote back and forth and he used the 92601 number to text me telling me that was number that showed up for security reasons while he was deployed in Nigeria- he is claiming to be a single dad who was looking for someone to start a life with when he gets home- after a couple of weeks he claimed to be "in love" with me.   After a couple of days, he said he wanted to hear my voice and told me the only way we could talk was to sign up for this phone service that would allow him to call me but I couldn't call him but it would cost me 175.00 a month.

When I called him out as being a scam artist and sent him the link to the site to report him, he claimed he knew about the scammers but he was for real.  Of course I don't believe him and after reading these reports- I know this is a scam.

so I have gotten several messages from a man named Bryan Jones with Venus remedies. he gave me all the information about the company but before that he said he had seen my resume and was offering me a job as a book keeper. he said I would be making $30/hour 30-40 hours a week remind you this is all through text message. he then asked me if I had yahoo messenger I did so I gave him my user name he then told me that he was sending me a check to deposit into my account to get materials for my job. I received and deposited the check in my account but have not used any of it. the person has not gotten back to me but I think it is fraud what should I do since I already deposited the check.

My husband just received so many messages claiming that they had a relationship. My husband showed me these crazy messages right away and we looked up the number. Turns out that this number is a spammer who finds your number on ebay, craigslist, etc. These people are both scammers, one a Nigerian woman, and one a man from the UK. DO NOT REPLY TO THESE MESSAGES. THAT WILL LEAVE YOUR PERSONAL INORMATION AT RISK.

Got a text message with a question, like they wanted to know if it was me. Since they used a  nickname that I hate, I replied that it must be a prank. They did not reply.

I got text message from scammers in area code 92601 & 92701 by the text names of Chinko Adams and Aminart Adams!! these scammers want money and uses IKEJA Lagos Nigeria as their home base.
