A "Solanda Wilson" i now texting my phone from 926-01. This person had a check sent to my home from a company basied out of California for $2,750.00. They had responded to an add that I had posted on craigslist to rent out a room in my home. They claim not to be able to call and that her father will be the one that will be in contact. I am worried that this is a scammer and maybe trying to launder money. The reason that I believe this to be true is that she wants me to wire money to a car dealership to have a car delivered to my home.  What should I do with this check?

I too received a check from this person, saying it was for her car that was going to get shipped. She responded to my craigslist ad as well. This is most definitely a scam

When you are in yahoo chat, there is an option to send your IM messages as texts to the person your are IM'ing with. When you do that, they receive the text from 92601.

kirsty_baron 92601 texted my son convinceing him she was going to marry him. he sent her 100.00 and now she wants 300.00 more they are pieces of [***] on this society and if I ever find out who it is there will be hell to pay. By the way my son is mentally challened and that was some of his disability money

I just received a text message from 926-01 saying "home?" Who is this and what does this mean?!?

Just type BLOCK in a reply back and they will be blocked.  It worked for me.  i have Tmobile

I have been tracking this people for years now. They started to send me e-mails a month ago trying to rent one of my properties and the caller claimed she was in the UK. She asked me for my name and address so she can send me a check for the rent. ( the funny thing is that she did not asked anything about the property for rent, big mistake). I then gave her a wrong name and she /he later send me a check from florida that looks kind of good for $2500. I knew about the scam because I teached/instructor for an agency where I trained people in this. She/he later send me another email stating she made a mistake on the amount and I needed to refund some money to an address in the US (florida). She/he later began to send me messages form a yahoo acct # 92601 wanting to receive the money via western union. Belive me, they never got what they were looking for. I decided to go with this from the begining to show the track of an scam to my old students and how they have ways to get that money. The check was never deposited in any account because I know is fake and just because its from out of town, it will take 10 days to clear. This is the window of opertunity for them to try to get a partial refund back making u belive that you made out with some money before your bank contact you after 10 days with the bad news that you are responsible for every penny given to them. They try all different ways, with items that you sell on the internet, mortgages, ins claims, etc but the results are the same where they send you a check or traveles check for a large amount and you are forced to returned a portion back to them which is their proffit via western union or money gram. Try doing 10, 20, 100 of this a day. yes, they are making money ilegally. Don't be the next victim, play smart and may be have some fun with them and waist their time for a month and then give them your middle finger or like I did at the end, a nice photo of what they represent with sound me saying, ha, ha , ha I got you back. This is the only pay back you have. Due to the amount of this cases (nigirian scams) the goverment stopped investigation due to the volume of this cases and because they are out of jurisdiction, insted, citizens need to do their part and don't fall for something that don't look real. Play smart and protect your money. Only face to face transactions or cash in hand (confirmed) before any transfer of goods.

on Saterday I received a text message from this number, a Mrs Shamaine Brown (hrdesk22@yahoo.com)  She offered me a job working for Merck Co. at $20.00 an hour from home.  we did a yahoo messanger interview (this should have been clue one).  

She said "Congratulations the company has decided to give you a chance for you to work for the company and will like to see your diligence,Charisma,Commitment to this job." Asked how I would like to be paid. Via direct deposit, wire transfer or credit card transfer, pay check weekly or bi weekly.  I told her by paycheck.

She listed the primary and secondary duties I would have to do. then told me of the software I would need to purchase to do my new job. but the company will send the funds first for me to purchase them with along with a new HP Laptop. (clue two)

"Here are the name's of the software's you will need to start working with BS 1 Accounting software ,myob business essentials software 2010,For Peach Tree premium 2010 US Patent Single Users Pack, simply accounting 2010,Apple Final Cut Express 3.5 HD Upgrade,Norton Ghost 9.0,Microsoft Office XP 2002 Standard Upgrade,Peach tree Premium Accounting 2011. (clue three, no company uses all of these different accounting software packages, they would only use one)

she told me she had a task for me to complete over the weekend (find prices on home office equipment) and she would get back to me on monday.  over the weekend the more I got to looking at the list of items the more it didn't sound right.

So (AND HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART) early on monday morrning I called the company Merck.  I found their phone number on their website.  I ended up speaking with the security officer and he told me that it was a scam.  They do not hire via messanger.

shortly after I spoke with Merck Mrs Brown texted me and asked if I was ready.  I told her I had spoke with Merck and asked her for her supervisers name.  She got mad at first and denided it was a scam but she could not come up with a name for me. (and she unfriended me on messanger)

Moral of this " If it sounds too good take a minute to check the facts"

Been talking to this guy on a dating site, he has been calling and texting me using his phone number, but sometimes he uses the number 926-01.  He seems like a nice guy.  Has not said anything offensive. Says he is interested.  But now I am concerned after reading these comments.  Can anyone give me some insigh.

I got a text from 926-01 saying my name Mrs. Susan Teller and I saw your resume. I am from Venus Remedies LTD and I want to offer you a job. It is a scam because she say that she will send me a check and then she let me contact the vendor that will take my money against the fraudulent check. They talk with attitudes and boss you around. I am glad I did not fall to this scam job.
