Received the same phone call, with basically the same message as all the other victims of this perverted subspecies of mankind. I was on my way to work when this individual identifying himself as "Michael Johnson" contacted me through my home phone. He stated that there were three criminal charges against me for internet fraud, theft by deception, and some other crap that I do not remember. Each time I attempted to inquire about the agency he represented, he would rude , and loud. He had what sounded like a heavy east Indian, or Pakistani accent( interesting with a name like Michael Johnson huh?). He said  would be arrested , hauled off in handcuffs, and he would have my accounts shut down so I would lose everything. About that time I lost it and told him I was filing a report with the federal trade commission , the appropriate legal authorities in his state, and anyone else I could find......He hung up!!!! I tried calling the coward back and he did not answer the phone for several hours.....when he did answer I informed him that this was not over, hewill be investigated,  and he will be found...... The "prick" upset my family and my children wee crying because they saw me upset....he lives on Florida Avenue in Hemet California.

I got the same call. They said that a sheriff was coming to my job to arrest me. Was worried until I read these posts.

I have received 4 calls from this number. A female has left me 2 voice messages stating the she is from the IRS and that there is an issue with my account. The number that she left to call back no one answers.

Just received a call from a guy with a heavy Indian accent stating he was from the IRS. He kept trying to get me to say yes to questions. They've called several times this morning.

Fake IRS call 3 times. Do not give them anything.

Foreign man stated he was IRS, call him immediately or my attorney to call him, and do not discard message. Looked up # and saw this info and decided to report.

Received a call from Lisa Chung requesting a call back.  When called back a man answered and proceeded to fish for information about income taxes.

This guy keeps calling me at work claiming I will go to jail.  Says his name is Peter and he works for Micheal Sinclair.  The way he talks it has to be a scam very unprofessional and mouthy..  The best thing to tell them is try it!

James Miller, it was Mike Miller last week. Heavy Indian accent saying there's a discrepancy in ourtaxes, says he's with the IRS. Called number back, it doesn't work. Scam!!!

Man with an Indian accent claiming he was from the IRS..I told him that he would be reported & to take my # off the list.

I just received a call from 213-437-6630 saying I need my attorney of record to call to discuss a legal mater regarding me and loosing my job, home, etc.  How do these folks get our information and HOW do we stop them?

This is not a legitimate call from the IRS.

Whether you use the IRS link or file the complaint directly with the FTC, add "IRS Hostile Call" in the Comments section of the complaint.

Since this individual is impersonating the IRS you should also report it to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). You can send an email to Complaints@tigta.treas.gov or file an online complaint by completing their "Online Form" located on their website, http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report.shtml.

these people are horrile scammers and so rude!!!!

This person (heavy Indian accent) called my business, saying they were from the IRS. I told them I needed their number in case we were disconnected, and they gave me 951-223-6693. I looked up the number and found this page, found out the scam, and let them know we weren't interested.

I called back the number fun for, someone answered saying "IRS!" When I asked where they are located they said "In our area." When I told them that we know they are a scam, and they need to never call again, they said "Not everyone knows" and hung up.

Called and left message that legal action was going to instituted against me.  Stated his name was Michael Johnson of IRS.  Asked him where his office was located; his government title, series and grade and asked to speak to his supervisor - hung up and won't take calls from my number

Just got two phone messages from this heavy accent voice stating that his name was Steve Collins and that he was calling from IRS (Internal Revenue Services). He left a message to call him back ASAP before this file goes into litigation. I do not owe any taxes to IRS. After reading all the other messages, I now realize that this was a SCAM call. To be honest, I was a bit scared and googled 951-223-6693. Glad I googled the number. I now can rest at peace.

There was a man with an accent leaving a voice mail on my phone stating he was calling from the IRS and that my father had a deficiency. They left a very detailed message for being from the IRS. I called the number on a weekend and the first couple of calls they would just hang up or talk in a different language. After a couple of tries they answered in English and stated they were from the IRS, I told I knew someone who worked for the IRS directly and he hung up.

I have the same issues.  Been calling for the last two days. Telling me that he have a legal matters that I  need to take care right away.  So, I call back but no answer.

I hope everyone knows that this illiterate, incoherent babbler is a fraud.  When the call is returned I only hear a beep.

"Harry Jones" has called here twice. Claims he is from the IRS but when we ask him his IRS employee ID number he gives another phone number. We told him we don't have any IRS matters so he can stop calling. We won't give them any info!
