"Edwin", with an Asian-Indian accent, calling from "Windows Technical Department" because apparently my computer was reporting an error code on their servers. I asked if they were Microsoft or a subdivision of Microsoft or a Microsoft contractor; he said they were an independent company. Hung up when I asked what the relationship was being their company and Microsoft, the manufacturer of Windows.

(I don't have an Microsoft Windows systems running at home at all.)

Guy with far east accent, Pakistani or Indian. Told me there was a problem with my Windows, after several calls within the same week (all starting with 971-217-95XX), I lost patience and told him I had never used Windows and I would report him he told me to f** off. I reported the scam to the RCMP, we'll see if it stops.

My turn to get scammed today. This number called me today to TRY and scam me. After hearing his scam for a few minutes. He said he wanted $199.00 for 2 years coverage. When I told him I didn't have it he asked "how much do you have?" I then told him to speak English and take his scam somewhere else.

Caller (in thick accent, perhaps Indian,) said he was from Microsoft, calling from Dublin GA, to report Ihave been broadcasting messages... as proof, had me go the command prompt and find my CLSID, which he stated to me for verification (this is all B#S#, as my other confusers had the same CLSID)...then had me go to command line (windows-R) and bring up event viewer and look at applications messages, looking for warnings and errors...when requesting whether I could delete them, stated that this was bad and I needed their help.... ( I connected to the ISP and noted it was a printer manufacturers web-site)...thanked me for my tuime and stated that I knew what to do to clean up my hard-drive.... I don't believe 900 #'s can call one and then charge $$ for it...which I'll come back and report on this website if I find that to be true....

    Tired of this
After about five calls where I either hung up immediately or never answer I answered. Caller asked for (named  not written).  I said wrong number, he said something about computer will crash.  I laughed and said "dude you do not even know who you are calling" and hung up.  Where I work 2- 3 people a week  come in to fix their computer due to these idiots and others like them.    Had one woman  cry because of the money she paid to them and still had a virus.  Wish our Pol's and FCC would do something.  Let your friends know about this, maybe being forewarned they can avoid getting caught.

This person that called me said that he was calling from New York. He name was Willam John and was a rep from Microsoft windows systems and some one is trying to send virus to my computer.  The strange thing is that I don't own a computer LOL such a scamer.  I told him that if he calls my number again I would knock him in the head and his red dot between his eyes will fly off, so never call this number

This is absolutely a scam - block the number if you can.  A man with an "East Indian" accent claims to be calling from "Windows" about your computer.  Right.

Saturday morning @ 8:30...couldn't understand him and he wanted to talk about our computer. Think might be related to another call that wanted to talk about our operating system.  Go away.

Same old Windoze scam: "Yur Kumpooter eez eenfected".  Played stupid and kept him on the line for five minutes but he left after I told him this was not my computer but rather was owned by my company.  He said he will contact "my company" to let them know about this problem ("what" company, duh) then hung up.  Seems to be one way to get rid of them - tell them it's not your machine.

I have gotten this call twice in the last week or so.. He says his name is Harry. Obviously it is not. He says that someone is trying to hack into my computer right now and this is what I need to do.. I act like I am following his lead and tell him that I am on my computer. He tells me that I have to hold down the control, flag and R buttons, and then tell him what I see. I ask him. What is it that I am supposed to see.. He repeats. That is why I am here to help you. What is it you see? Again, I ask what is it that I would be seeing. I finally just hung up and called the local news station.. They had heard nothing of this yet.

They called me and said my windows system was responsible for hacking lots of servers. I told them I had only hacked a few of my friends servers and they said " you have hacked a lot of servers?" I told them "no, just a few of my friends as a joke. no g'vment servers or anything serious just f'n with my friends" and for some reason they ended the conversation. Seems kind of rude to me. I won't let them try to help me unless they apologize.

    Sick and Tired
I'm in Ontario Canada and F***Tards called @ 7:32am this morning. Since I wasn't quite awake yet and thought it was my sister calling to bug me yet again about some $hit, I just let it ring and went back to sleep. Woke up about an hour later and checked caller ID and 971-217-9518 came up. Decided to check here and find out where the call came from. If they call back I'm gonna use the suggestion someone wrote and answer with a fictitious business name. Maybe I'll use in my sweetest voice and say, "Microsoft Technical Support. How may I help you?" ~ We'll see if I get another call then.

They phoned today which is a holiday here.  I was not near the phone. There was a gasp of air on my answering machine. No name on display. These scam artists should be stopped.
