I just got "the" call, but I don't answer numbers I don't recognize: 179712853130

Feb. 28, 2008, ~2:30 PM: I did not recognize the phone number, so I did not pick up the phone. This may be the first call for us, since I don't recall seeing the number before. Based on getting the call and the other comments against this number, it may have something to do with this being the "tax scam" time of year.

ya i received 2 calls from them and i got that same recording when i called back but on the caller id it said UNDERWOOD D 9712853130 i searched around but came up with nothing does that name mean anything to any1 or ring a bell????

i got a call from that company. i paid for it. then i saw all this stuff online about how they scam u.. i called back to cancal cause i paid on my card and they took my name and number. a lady did call back. I told her about how the company is online as a fraud and she said they are for real. U do get money. if a package is not recieved she makes sure u get it. She told me they will refund my money but i should do better research and then call them back. she says i will make money.. so i dont know if they are for real or not.  i guess i will see if this company is real..

I just found a posting that says GMI Enterprises is legit. I think they're right, it feels right to me. I found them here: http://www.whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/8882250068 the post name is Dave Paterson and his post is on the 2nd page, down a bit. Also, others have found good news from the BBB if you look at previous posts.

Pretty much , if you type down your personal # on the WorldWideWeb you will be getting some kind of annoying calls sooner or later . Remember - it is your own doing for putting it online . This is also how bill collectors find you . They have people working for them - looking for #'s on myspace , yahoo , aol , singshot , any and everywhere people go to reach out to thier friends , family and others !! Yes the bill collecters pay people like you and me , to do searches for names , even to become friends with the person , so you can obtain the # . A friend of mines , Aunt was working for one of them in Illinios and she quit the job when they asked her to do it . But alot of people will just do it for a paycheck . People be wise , be carefull ! The postcard says to call 1-800-434-0332, with a deadline by March 17th, 2008, saying to start Monday. It even claims an official form number at the corner of the postcard: PSI1367 -2008-052. This is the address:

If this is the same person or same group of people as 971-285-3130, I don't know. This 800 number does also ask for a $69 registration fee for an orientation package. If this postcard is also scamming people, and if it is the same people that everybody's talking about here, then I believe that I've just put in some evident information to possibly have these people busted. I chose to keep my name anonymous just in case I'm right. God bless.

Thanks Beth that helps. It’s relieving to find out that GMI is legit as I just bought their materials. I feel much better!!! Plus I found out how they get our phone number too. It was puzzling to me how the got that. I looked on the first page of posts in the forum you recommended under the post name –Tim Perry - Feb 29th. offer was to pay 69.00 to get list of fha home loan customers who were due a refund. and you get a percentage of the refund as finders fee for informing the person who owned the property.This is a total scam the oporator refused to give me the name of her boss and told me she clocks in and out of a computer base business and never sees a boss or supervisor, she also said if she is ill and can not work that day she does report to someone but is not allowed to tell me who it is she reports to.sounds like someone just got caught in a lie!don't give them your money lots of people know there is a list of people due refunds but the fha is bombarded with calls from people waiting to get hold of a name to contact for a refund, lots of luck getting anyone who didn't know they were due a refund!

A friend told me about this "job."  She said, call this number.  I did some research first.  Glad I found you guys!

I got a call telling me that I could work from home making $38,000 a year being a "government Processor". I asked for a # that I could reach them at if I was interested and was directed to 971-285-3130, the company was called GMI Rufund Processors
