- Denise| 2 repliesWell, I was a sucker, I guess...I ordered and paid $79 for the pkg back in November 2008, then paid for the software, another $70, which they claim stream-lines your work, and allows 24-7 access to HUD's database, "no more having to buy each state's list separately". I have invested, stupidly, over $400 for postage, people-finders online membership, supplies like printer paper, printer ink, envelopes, etc. I even went so far as to get letterhead printed up so the letters I send out would look way more professional. I have only received ONE response from all my time, effort, and costs, and this response was a person with the EXACT same name as the person I was trying to locate, also similar gov't loan experiences, etc. Tracking people has taken all of my time, cost me way too much, and has left me feeling taken. I really wanted this to work out, but am now feeling as though this whole thing is a scam. I have sent an email to the company and am now awaiting a response. any others out there? i wanna know if ANYBODY at all has gone as far as I have to make this program work, and then if they were at all successful. my email addy: groovydee@live.com
Thanks for listening.....Denise - Sheryl StottsI received a call from someone who claim to be in the business of helping you to do refund checks for people who had money coming from the goverment. They send me a package with false information. NOW I KNOW IT IS A SCAM. AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK.
- Caller: GMI ENTERPRISES
- MaeJust received a message on my phone about government insurance refund processor jobs making $38,943 a year. No experience, start immediately. No such jobs. This is a scam to trick you into buying the $69 orientation packet. I don't have caller ID, I was told to press 1 for more information, which I did not. This message was so full of fraud, it was ridiculous.
- ChristineI received a call from (702) 520-1211 at my work number. I answered the call to find out who it was and it was the recording to work from home to make up to $38,943 a year processing "government insurance refund" through a "third party." Just for kicks, I pressed "1" for more information and received another recording that stated the refunds were for homeowners that had paid off their home loan and were due a refund. The recording continued to explain that one could make $400-$800 per refund. To start, one would need to provide name and address to operator by pressing "1" and would be sent the orientation package for $69. If decide not to do the work, could send orientation package back for full refund. There was also the option to press "2" to have my phone number removed. I pressed "2" and it stated that I would not receive this offer again at this number. We will see....
- Caller: was not given a company name
- C AsherI didn't answer the calls, instead, I got a post-card in the mail. "We've been trying to reach you". Same crap. Gave ME a number to call, 1-866-851-1249. I was offered the same as all of you. (Official Form Number; MGI530-2009-0213). Can't they do anything since now they used the U.S. Mail, i.e. Mail Fraud? This also was a recording, not a live person, "press 1 now to pay". Thanks for the heads up!
- Caller: Not Available
