I got a call telling me that I could work from home making $38,000 a year being a "government Processor". I asked for a # that I could reach them at if I was interested and was directed to 971-285-3130, the company was called GMI Rufund Processors

I got a call from 971-285-3130 and it sounds like a scam to me also. Why does the Federal Government not do something about this? It sounds like alot of people are being scammed. Nobody wants to work anymore if they have a job. It is us, the people who really want a job that gets scammed. The people who has the job to stop these people do as little as they can get away with.

I received a call today to work at home on the internet. They told me I would get an orientation manual and a cd with forms for processing. The price was $69.00 for the package.They would teach me how to processhe form and give me a list of names from the government and I would earn between $300.00 to $400.00 dollars per transaction about $38,000.00 per year.I told them I would call them back in a week. Portland. the number below was on my caller ID. Another scam is GRANT GIVEAWAYS. IF YOU GO TO GRANTS.GOV all grants are listed and a disclaimer stating this and telling you to beware.

i recieved a call from 909-842-8104 concerning the goverment job lets put a stop to the scamers call and report them.

I've learned to check these calls for fraud, and I'm glad I did. When they say Gov't that makes them sound legit. Happy I checked first

Does anyone know if the government actually has such a program, and, if so, how you get the legit paperwork?

I agree to what everyone has said....I don't have time to respond to this kind of stuff.  I have a family.  On my answer machine it says "Gov't Insurance Refund Processor" with $38,943yr, work from home.  The number in my caller ID was 603-214-3632.  It seems I'm the only one that received a call from that number. But it's the same information, what they do change the number...This is some Sh_t!!!  It needs to be reported to the BBBureau.  Especially to see what it's all about.  When I returned the call, It says "If you wish to not receive this call, press 1."

I just received a call from 971-285-3130 saying I could make $38,943 per year, if I sent them $69.00 for a list and a starter kit. I lost my husband and two months ago I lost my job, I have children and really need a real at home job, but I don't know how to really get one, if anyone read this, e mail me at corliss_vaughn@yahoo.com, and let me know. I got a call to call 971-285-3130 they were with Govt. Mortgage Insurance Enterprises- I spoke with Christine #317- she told me I'd be a independent contractor working with the government.  I was a little iffy as to why this company was involved so I asked her questions about this- she said it was $69.00 to receive your orientation packet and a list to start- and at any time I could cancel and get my money back.  She also said it was calling people and getting their info. for refunds and a % of the refund would be written to me from $400-$800 per transaction.  I looked up GMI Enterprise and saw that people were saying it was a scam!!!!!!!!!!  Thank you all who wrote in to warn the rest of us!

I have received the very same phone call from the same number 971-285-3130.  I was reading these comments and noticed that a few of you have paid the $69.00 for the kit.  I would like to know did you get the kit?  And are you doing it?  Is it true that you can do this and make money?  I was told that this is not a scam... It is a real work at home and make money????  Please let me know....Jo

I JUST SIGNED UP FOR THE BUSINESS OF PROCESSING HUD AND FHA REFUNDS ARE THESE COMMENTS ABOUT THEM HARRASSING U BYE PHONE? I WOULD LIKE SOME COMMENTS ABOUT THE COMPANY AND AND IS ANYONE GETTING AN ACTUAL PAYCHECK?

I also just received a call from 971-295-3130.  I would not give them any info until I looked up their website.  I feel sorry for anyone who signs up for these before checking them out.  It is very sad that in this economy when people are desperate to make extra money to survive that this crooks keep coming up with new ways to take advantage of us.  I would love to fine legit work from home companies that did not cost an arm and a leg.

I got a call from the same GMI people yesterday, 12/14/2008...What a scam...don't buy into it...
