Same email from Abdul Al Jabal, ABM Trading through Photoshelter, but event is in Austin, TX. Similar scam was sent through Photoshelter this past November except client's name was Al Amar and event was in NYC. Either way, would be nice to scam the scammers, somehow.

I got the same inquiry from my PhotoShelter Account. The only difference was the location of Austin Tx and dates of 4/18-21. I guess these guys like to party a lot!!!

I think mines a scam based on this string of emails above:

The date is  April 18th to 21st 2016, 7 hours per day. Kindly send us a proposal for the 4 days as i said in my previous email.

Just got the same message through Photoshelter as well, glad I found this site.  I have the same question as you, what are they getting out of this?  I don't see the end game here since they want to send you money, not receive it.  Unless their plan is just to have hours of meaningless email correspondence....

I think if you read the very first post on here, that is probably what is going on .

I'm a professional photographer. They contacted me via e-mail to shoot their convention.  I googled their number, and found all the reports contained herein as well.  Beware!!  See below:

I'm a photographer in Chicagoland area and I received the same message. If my budget is less than $15,000 then I should provide a quote for a 4 days event. The meeting is supposed to take place in Lansdowne Resort, 44050 Woodridge Pkwy, Leesburg, VA. Why would they look for a photographer in the Midwest when their meeting is in VA. Name he provided is Abdul Al Jabal ABM Trading, 2200 Humaid, Al norma St., 09112 waheed Ajman, UAE   +971-524-432-512

SCAM! I'd stay away from this.

same email called resort event is april 11-14th he is asking for 18th -21st

I received this same email a few weeks ago but it was through Hitched.com, I was fooled by this evil scammer and now he has my account number and sort code! I know theres not much you can do with that info but it still worries me. I'm just seriously pissed off this person got my hopes up, I should of realised it was too good to be true, as is everything!!

Same message here, for a 4 day shoot in Phoenix, then changed to Houston. Got as far as my asking for 50% up front, paper check, mailed via USPS. Response was we need your account info to wire money. That's when I got suspicious. Yup, to good to be true is just that... Thanks everybody for posting and making this all clear and affirmed.

Just reported this scammer to the FBI. Same deal. He had an event in Boston and wanted me to come up to shoot it for 4 days. I gave him a full legit Quote and contact. The place never heard of this event happening, and he found me through photoshelter. I told him I need 50% money upfront three in advance or I wouldn't proceed. He wanted to wire the money and I set up a new account specifically for this job as I didn't trust this guy.

I received the same email, but from the outlook emailadress ...

Same deal happened to me. Same issues and same frustrations. I set up a new account as I didn't trust giving him my financial information.
What I hear is that they can wire more money in "accidently" from a frauded account then request for the amount to be approved to be wired back. Still don't understand how that would work, but if they have funds from a frauded account then you get stuck with the bill I guess...

Yes, same request for Barcelona. Did anyone loose money this way? I did sent a IBAN / BIC number, but no entry of deposit  followed, also  no further reply, so I searched the internet and found your information. I informed my bank, just in case.

I received a message today with someone from the Emirates searching for an event venue in Cannes, and i have serious doubts about this request, what do you think ?
