Report a phone call from 972-200-9825 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Natalie| 1 replyThis also happened to me. But I noticed it was ONLY after I posted a resume on careerbuilder.com. I have applied for a few jobs through them and have never received a call like this. My advice is do not post any of your personal information where any random person/scam employer can see.
I promptly deleted my resume there. I guess we know where Careerbuilder gets it funding.- Caller: Unknown
- ShanI got a phone call from the same number. Really don't have time for scam... I'm going to block this number
- Caller: Unknown
- Lisa Hamilton| 1 replyI believe this company to be American Income Life Insurance Company--got an email with a similarly worded message. I think they are an MLM or something of that sort. Beware of places that don't identify themselves...
OH! just curious to know if we all posted on the same website: workinretail.com.....- Caller: Just said Seagoville, Texas
- AnthonyI got the call from this number earlier today and thought it was really weird.. So I know now not to call back..
- Anthony replies to NatalieI got the call after posting to careerbuilder also.. hmmm that could be it..
- BrendaMacGot this same message yesterday. Since I'd been job shopping, I returned the call. Same thing. No company name, no live people. Really weird
- KDWposted on career builder, said my resume looks like what they are looking for, gave me a number 888-673-4019 to call back and set up interview. Needless to say the number has been disconnected. Then found this site that has much of the same for everyone else.
- Caller: No name provided
- JEFFJust got the same call. I have not submitted any applications for 10 years.
- PATTYI received a call from this number as well. Having same experience. No company name, etc... @ least now I know to ignore it if they call back. I can't believe this goes on..
- BeverlyI got a message same as everyone else and I am pretty sure it's Monster.com or one of their other companys. Lots of insurance companys pick up people from Monster that have any kind of sales background hoping to lure them into selling insurance. Your resume is public so I don't think there is anything that can be done about it. Whether this is a legit company or I not I don't know because I am not calling them back. Don't give them any information at all.
- Beverly replies to Lisa Hamilton@Lisa you may be right because I got a call from American Income and then an email too. Could be them or something else like that.
- DanToo suspicious. It was a machine claiming they have a hiring system. Respectable companies would call you in person.
Dan- Caller: not identified
- mikeyits from Liberty National Life insurance. Cold calling commission only insurance sales. They got your information from one of the job resume boards. When you call back the 800 number they leave you, it routes you to the nearest agency to your zip code.
- Caller: Seagoville, TX
- warriorprincessI got the same call as everyone else. These people go under two different names that I could find ~ United American Insurance and Liberty National Life Insurance. They're legit businesses, but have a less than ethical way of recruiting candidates, because most people won't work for them. They offer cold calling, strictly on commission, for insurance sales. They don't have employees, just independent contractors ~ no benefits to pay that way. Even if you're desperate for a job, there is no need to work for free. They're locating recruits from all of the job boards, i.e. Career Builder, Monster, etc, etc, and so forth. Don't waste your time. If you really want to sell insurance, go with a reputable and well-know company or check with a local broker for leads.
- Caller: United American Insurance/Liberty National Life Insurance
- KevinReceived once. Just signed up on one of those online job sites, too. What company identifies itself as "Company?" Its a vishing scam (Voice phishing). Best way to deal with this is ignore it and use prudence when answering phone calls. Just like email phishing, if it looks/sounds suspicious then its probably a sham. Ignore the calls.
- Caller: "Company"
- jf replies to Sashaits a total scam the guy gets your resume off of monster and gets paid to get your phone numbers everytime that number is answered he gets paid DO NOT ANSWER IT!!
- yo replies to Amandai got this call from the number and asked me to call them back to set up an interview... no company name given....
- FaithThe company is out of Texas and they are recruiting for sales on behalf of Liberty National
- navy '1108/16/11 7:45pm. Just got call from this number advising me I got an interview. Didn't leave company name or anything of importance. Decided to enter number in google and got many similar reponses. Beware!
- Fre| 1 replyLiberty National 1-888-673-4109 was the callback number left on my VM, the number that originated the call was 972-200-9825. Automated message, I looked it up, and it is from Liberty National, which has been reported multiple times for being a scam company, looking to 'recruit' new insurance agents. Look at this link on Ripoff Report.com for more detailed information about this company.
I agree with another person, it is bad enough being unemployed, but now to be bombarded via email and phone calls from a scam company trying to take advantage of us in our time of need financially just bites.
Desperate times call for desperate measures i guess, but im NOT that desperate to be foolish enough to fall for a scam artist company promising me the job of a lifetime. pfft.- Caller: Lincoln National
