Received a call from "Amy" from Accufile.. she never stated my name or provided a case number but said there was a complaint and papers will be served to my home or place of business and to call "client" directly at 800-331-4064.. I have no idea what this is about but sounds really really shady!

Just got the same voicemail from this number, same name "Amy", didn't state my name, said papers would be served to me at home or work, and gave me same instructions to call 800-331-4064. Yeah, I'll get right on that Amy. I would be curious if anyone has actually answered the call from "Amy", just to rest my curiosity as to what she would have said had I actually taken the call; I would be even more curious to hear of other people's comments if they actually called the 800 number back!!!

The EXACT description of what happened to me yesterday. I did call the number to see if the company would be identified first, and a "live" man answered, no company name, so I hung up.

Yeah, I got the same call, and tried the 800 number from a phone who's caller ID won't identify me. Lady who answered said it was 'something' financial group, but the audio was so low I couldn't hear what 'something' was. Sounded suspiciously like "Amy."

I just received a message on my answering machine that said the exact same thing.  In addition "have your ID ready to receive the documents".  Load of bull . . . Can't stand these robo-calls ugh . . . .

I literally just received a the same exact message less than 2 minutes ago.  I'll wait on those paper "Amy."  These scams are ridiculous.

I just got this too from "Amy"…yep, I guess I'll be waiting on those papers…lol TGIF!
By the way…I did a little checking/Google…this company has a history of calling/attempting to collect old debt that is technically uncollectable/past statute….just don't answer or talk to them; legally, a debt collector cannot threaten jail time…also check the debt collection statute for your state.

I received he same message as a voicemail, these people are relentless. If someone was trying to serve you with anything , they would just serve you period. It is just annoying to receive a message like this!

My husband just received same voice mail message from Amy , when calling back a recording comes on to leave a message at the beep!

Got the same call. My first thought was "They didn't even use my name, or identify who they were outside the name Amy". Had a feeling that this was pure BS. This thread seems to confirm that suspicion.

I just got the same call from "Amy ONeal" with Accufile  stating the same thing others have on here. I did actually call them back. They answered with "Hello." When I asked what company I was calling the man said that he needed my case #. I said I don't have a case #. I don't even know who this "Amy" was calling for. He then went on to say that most people who receive a call know what this is about and that he needed the last four of my social to look up my file. I told him I wasn't giving him anything and I needed to know the name of the company. He told me it was TH Financial and that he needed the last four of my social. When I again told him I wasn't giving him anything and this all sounds fishy. He rudely said..."Well make sure you show up in court." and hung up the phone. Fishy!

DO NOT CALL BACK!! Just ignore.

I received the call today with the same person. My surprise is that they didn't state that this was an attempt to collect a debt and that any information will be used for that matter. No pause and time given to listen to the voice message, not sure if that type of message is even legal. Really surprised me, I got on line to see if I owed anyone something that I didn't know because it would be in the clerk of court records if you owed a bill and was about to get served papers, it would be a court order, and nothing. Something isn't right!!

These people called me with the same crap. Also Amy left the message.  I miss the days of being able to loudly hang up on someone and leave them listening to dial tone.

Got the same mess.  called the 800 number and spoke to Amy.. She was very nice and after checking my number and  name informed me they were looking for the person who had the phone number before it was issued to me.. Removed my number from the system and apologized. Pretty nice for collection people ..  wish they were all like that.

This is actually a legit company. I received the same message and I call back. it was a collection agency, they had the correct phone number but the wrong name so I asked them to remove my number and that was it.
keep in mind that now days people switch numbers for no reason and you could have gotten the number previously used by a scam bag.
