Didnt answer, no relatives in TEXAS, since I like the snow in toronto.

Got the call last night, and they asked for me personally by name and went thru the spiel about the free trip to cancun. I said no and asked to be removed from their list. (we are on the Canadian No-Call List)
They said they would comply and within a minute they called back and asked for my wife by name (same lady - I recognized her voice). I told her again we weren't interested.
She apologized and said she just noticed that both our names were on the same number and hang up.
I'd really like to know where they got our info from.

I also received a call on my unlisted cell phone #, i didn't answer because i didn't recognize the area code. Looked it up and it was a number from Texas. I recommend reporting them.

They got your information FROM the do not call list. Companies outside of Canada request these lists so they "do not call you" but because their off shore they don't have to follow the same rules here in Canada. The best thing to do with these numbers is to not pick up. That's what i did.

Google says the area code is in Texas. I sure don't know

received a call today  (February 23, 2010 around 3:00 PM EST) on my cell.

Didn't answer but did look up the number.  No message was left on my voicemail.

I missed a few calls on my cell today and when I checked the numbers this 979 was one of them. Looked it up since I've never heard of it. Texas... Nope don't know anyone from texas.

Got the call at 2:17 pm, I'm in Sudbury, Ontario.

This # called me on my cell, ... I didnt recognize . I didnt pick up.

Does anyone have further info about this number. They just called me saying I won a trip to cancun, i was just there last month. I pressed one (like an idiot) to hear the details and when they asked if I wanted details about a trip to mexico, I said no and they hung up. Is this one of those horrible scams where you are chared insane amounts of money for pressing one and they are able to get your personal details? I am not sure if I need to call my cell phone provider to check the call. I would advise anyone not to answer this number, not to press one and just hang up if you answer. I hate all the ugly and dishonest people in this world just looking to make life miserable for others.

Just got a call from the number, on my cell phone to boot. I am in BC.

I got the same call from this number (979) 446-0366...looked it up...said it was a land based line from Bryan Texas.  It called my cell...

12:19PM received call from this number. I Googled the number and found this excellent resource.

I'm in BC. The phone number they called is a newly activated number for use on my magicJack.

Have this number disconnected or something!!! If they want to call a certain area- stop using a similar local number with a different area code! People think it is a local number calling them before noticing the area code that called them. I have a newborn and I am sick of getting many calls every Tuesday and some Thursdays from people from my local area asking if I called them...

Stop this now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nobody wants your telemarketing scams!!

same thing as everyone is saying, i got a call to my cell (that i barely use) and is a quebec canada number. call was from texas wtf.
