got similar phone call today....a man stated he was from a company called sas corp ltd. kept telling me i had paid 49 pounds to them to stop nusiance calls. i know for a fact i had not paid any company and told him i did not believe a word he was saying. i then asked what was the name of my bank/ account i had supposdly paid him from?
he stated that due to the data protection act he could not tell me? told me to check with my bank?
i just hung up

the number i got the call from was 03474802800
am sure its a scam call

Same as another person reported. He said he was from SAS Corp and that I'd given my credit card details for £49. After several times of telling him I hadn't he rang off. The joke is that he said the payment was to stop nuisance calls from salesmen.

Just had the same happen to me.  He kept saying that I had paid £49 to stop nuisance calls.  I was adamant that I hadn't and when speaking to my son he suggested it is a scam.  Don't fall in to the same trap.

I got a call from a company called Telephone Guard claiming that i had agreed to pay £49.00 to stop nuisance  phone calls. Itold him that I had not agreed to pay any money to anyone to stop nuisance calls.He said that I had agreed to this 48days ago and that the money had today been taken out of my account. I then asked him the name of the company, and the company address.  The name and address given was;.......

TELEPHONE GUARD,
WINGATE HOUSE,
ESSEX ROAD,
W1 5DA.

I then told him our conversation was at an end. After putting the phone down I called 1471 and the number that came up was 03474 802800.

I have googled the name and address and nothing came up. Now there's a suprise!!!!!!!!!!

I've just had exactly the same thing, he wanted me to confirm my bank so that he could give me.  I asked him why would I pay £49 to stop nuisance calls when TPS is free, he eventually hung up on me - he said he was from safe.com.

Just had this arrogant man phone a few minutes ago, saying he had taken £49 out of my bank account, insisting that we had already given him details of my bank account.   This is something I NEVER EVER give out over the phone, but he was insistent that I had.   When I accused him of it being a SCAM he became aggressive, but what worries me he seemed to have my full name and the bank name, but hopefully not the account number !  He was rude to me and said he didn't like my attitude towards him.   One wonders who is paying for that call, as it appears to be a premium which usually has to be paid for ?

He's still at it! Called today, only gave the name Alex but not who he was from but with the same story about paying £49 to the TPS. I said so what and what had it got to do with him. (I haven't paid anything at all). He then suggested this was a TPS call to confirm that "I'd never ever ever get any more nuisance calls, not even one but he needed to check something first".  Butted in and told him he was a nuisance call and therefore suggested he gets off the line>>>
It is a SCAM so just hang up and I would suggest not even responding when he asks your name - just tell him to get off the line.

They called us yesterday same as the other people I denied it was impossible to take any from bank a/c

was called and told money had already been taken fro.my account.He said one month ago I had given permission for this.When I interupted him he was most rude to me. Worrying until I googled . the number and found it was another scam which I suspected

my mother got 2 calles from safe.com saying she gave bank card number to take £49 for preventing nuisence calls, he gave the chat about sending papers out etc but when my mum asked him to tell her the number on the card he refused but he knew her name and address, the telephone number he called from was 0203 514 2999 this is an out of london number i called this number several time and a recorded message saying this number is not recieving calls at this time, how strange, when he called my mum back she said she had tried to call the company and got the message not recieving calls atm his reply was its because we are so busy how funny yes too busy pestering innocent people the guy kept his calm throughout the telephone call but he got the sharp end of my mums  tongue with a few f's thrown in for good measure with that he hung up

i googled safe.com and suprise it dont exsist good luck and stay aware this is a huge SCAM

I had the exact same thing, I asked him what name appears on the bank account and he gave me my Forename and Surname but he left out the middle name so I asked him is that the full name of the account holder to which he replied yes. At that point it was obvious he had obtained my name and phone number from somewhere and he was obviously hoping I would give him my full bank account details probably so he could repay the money or something. I didn't bother waiting to find out, after he said he answered my question I just told him that I wouldn't be participating in his scam and he hung up.

Just had a call saying he was from safe.com and that i had agreed to pay £49 to stop nuisance calls. The guy asked for me by name although our landline is in my fathers name. I asked when i had agreed to this several times and all he said was that it was some time ago. I then asked which account it would go from and all he would say was that it was a visa account. I then asked to speak to his manager and he simply said sorry and hung up. I called 1471 and the only number that came up was simply 00.
This is really annoying, an absolute SCAM and it needs to be stopped.

Just had a call from 03474802800. Said his name was Peter and the company was PROCOM. said that £79 was being taken from my bank account today. Said that I had agreed to this a couple of weeks ago. When I disagreed with him he said that he 'couldn't take my word for that' !

Should have added that after him telling me to check my bank he hung up !!

They are called Saise Corp Ltd and are a scam TPS company run by Mr Sandeep Dewan and are registered at companies house in London. They rang us on this number today and another number previously. You can report them to the TPS who know all about their scam TPS service and call-blocker that does not work. I have just had a call from Procomm with the same story that we have paid £49 to them to stop nuisance calls which of course we haven't so I said I would stop any payments from the bank which he said I couldn't do but I don't understand why they are calling because he didn't ask for an account or any further details. Anyone know what the actual scam is?
