I've just had two calls tonight, both after 9pm, one was trying to sell me some computer protection package.  The other I didn't let it get that far and hung up.

It seems to be a spoof to get around BT's (and others) ACR systems which in theory should be against the law at least in the EU?  But finding that ACR won't work against these calls at least has saved me an extra £4 a month on the phone bill...

They just called me asking from my brother (no Idea how they found out his name), I said he was not at home and they just said they'd call back and just hung up on me before I could get another word out.

Have been getting silent calls from this 000000 number. Have also been receiving persistent nuisance calls from an Indian call centre - that cut you off if you say you don't need their service.  Their technique is aggressive.  I told them not to call but they have called three times since then.  They call at around 4pm each day.

Just called me claiming to be from the RAC.

Am registered with TPS. I don't answer any calls until I hear who is speaking.Phone number 00000 has just started calling our number. Yet another pest caller to add to our long list.

Just so you know, TPS laws dont apply in India. Why do you think so many companies outsource their call centres there.  Because they are totally beyond all telecoms laws of the western world.

Legal threats mean nothing to them, they are even trained to ignore such threats.
They will NEVER give you their real name as they are trained not to (illegal in ANY western call centre under DPA).
Dont even try to engage them in any debate, they will ignore you.

All you need to know is they get paid less than 1/5 of what a Western call centre employee would earn and they consider it to be a good wage.

And any number with more than 2 zeros at the start is completely illegal anyway.

This number called and when i asked they just said goodbye.  They rang my mobile, how do they get hold of your number

I just got a cold call from 00000, claimed to be from Global Finance, or similar sounding name.  They hung up as soon as i asked where they had got my details from.  there was lots of background noise, and the voice was heavily accented.  not that i'm an expert, but it sounded Indian

the number 00000 keeps ringging my  phone i called it back it is a constant dialing tone ... who is it ?????.................

I keep getting nuisance calls from this number. When I pick up the phone, the caller rings off! This happens throughout the day and drives me MAD!!!!!

Regularly get calls from this number - something to do with money, and Indian call centre.  How can they bring up such a number?  I've tried telling them I'm registered with TPS and asking for my name to be removed but it makes no difference and you can't fill in the complaint form from TPS because if you ask for any of their details they hang up.  Now I don't answer if I see the number and other nuisance numbers.  Real pain!!!

just had this number call me , but because of strange number 00000 didn't answer.. you hear of so many scams and thought this could be one with such a strange number

the number 00000 is calling me !
they say I  must meet them on chirp street on the corner of lavender street @ a cafe.
they say it is in connection with a factory with my name and bank detail on some off the security files

keep getting this call --- do not want it

+00000 calls 2-3 times a day never leaves message but I am not going to answer a call that does not show legit phone number

I just got a silent call from this number, and by the sounds of it some people are starting to get a vague idea of who these guys are. Has anyone tried playing along for a bit and pretending to be interested? See if they can get a bit more information about them... contact number, email, company name etc?

I would assume they are going through all this to sell something, and therefore there must be some one doing the selling and they must have some form of presence.

Just had the call today asking for my dad. He is 80!! Why do they think it is OK to hound older people.

i have been recieving calls for the past 2 weeks from the number 00000 guy on the other end keeps asking for a Mrs Fletcher nobody by that name lives with me and no matter how many times i tell them they keep calling back same time all the 9.00 at night and wakes my son every time. Anyone no how to get this stopped???
