i just got a call yesterday with the same outcome..... they said i had a lawsuit against me and if i dint take care of this they could onlt wish me luck. i told them...ok you know my name and the last 4 of my ss# please give me the full ss# and he refused. he said the local sheriffs office will be coming by my workplace to arrest me and i told them if they had the correct address and also refused. also asked him whats the name of the sheriffs office and he also refused....all of this is a scam. i should play along next time and give him an address to my local PD office.

+00000 One of many call centres to invade peoples privacy. Recorded messages, with expensive call back numbers. All unsolicited, unwanted and a total pain in the ass. It's time our phone provider took this up on our behalfs and actually did something. With todays technologies it should be simple to do.
TPS, what a waste of time. The only other alternative is to disconnect our home phone lines. If we all did this at the same time BT,Virgin Etc would have to do something instead of ignoring the problem.

this 00000 number has been calling me today for like 3 times now. i always tell caller that i can't hear him/her and caller just hangs up.

There is a cyber crime division in India and it works round the clock to get rid of these fake people. In the last few years many Nigerians have been caught red handed for initiating these types of scams in India. Now i believe that they have started their work even overseas. Hello from Greece, these 00000 freaks called me 4 times already without saying a word..
Maybe I should inform someone in order to stop this situation..

Every day, at least once, a call which goes dead on answering. 1471 reports 00000 000000 as the number. If this was a person the Police would be on his case. I'm fed up being troubled by this company.

I have just received a call from this number. The guy sounded as if he was calling from Pakistan and was claiming he was calling from Window's to inform me that every time I use my email system I am downloading hundreds of folders or something like that. I am very wary about calls like this as he had all my information.

Don't get heated it's only a scam.
Pick the phone up and ask them to hang on while you get the person they're after, or because you need to turn Radio/TV down or any other excuse, and just put the phone aside.
If enough of us do this, not only to them, but any other cold callers, then perhaps their phone bills will put them out of business, eventually!

Keep getting calls from 00000 when i answer the line goes dead

I got the same call. It did leave a voicemail- it was an autodialer with an automated message reminding me of a doctors appointment. I think these calls are showing up like this because an Internet based autodialer is being used.

I just say "Hi you have reached the headquarters of the K K K please leave a message after the tone"
Dont usualy get any more calls from asian call centers. ps I am not a racist so please dont be offended thanks.

Just realised i had a call from 00000 and they left a silent voicemail. What kind of number is that?

Despite being with the tps and x directory i should not have any calls like this but i have about 3 to 5 a week, (i don't usually check the number so i don't know if it's the same number calling now) often asking for the previous tenant and it is always an Indian/Pakistani on the other end. It makes me so cross, i've even had the same woman call me about 5 times and when i ask how she has my number, she says it's on her database and when i ask how did it get on their companys database, i get hung up on only to be called a couple of days later.  

I called BT when i had about 15 calls in 1 day from an 'out of area' number, only to be told they cannot block overseas numbers, so i had to put up with it til they gave up.

Phone companies do need to prevent this happening.

Tip I use is have caller display and never answer any calls with number withheld or that you do not recognize. Trust me if its important they will write.

I thought this ridiculous number had to be someone ringing from the moon. It may as well be of course because its those flaming Indian call centres again most likely.

Oh for the days when you only ever had calls you wanted.
