000000

a number keeps ringing us don't want goverment backed scheme,they get very aggresive and won't take no for answer.got last caller barring but as number is 000000 I can't bar it

Had this number call me a number of times and answered after getting sick and tired of it ringing. On the other end was an Asian guy who wasn't offering me loans or finance but could help me consolidate any debts that I did have (without being a finance company?). I asked why the number displayed was 000000 and he said he was using an internet phone, don't know if this was true or not but I told him i wasn't interested and he hasn't rang back since.

Same thing happens here in Croatia  - someone called me an hour ago asking for the price of proofreading of a book in Croatian (a call was from Slovenia) - I didn't want to discuss the price so I directed the person to my email - and when I hung up I saw she called from '000000' - the "book in Croatian" never came to my mail.
It remains to see how much will it cost me

With landline or cellular phones you need to pass a phone number through caller ID with a valid NPA-NXX-xxxx format.  However, "000000" means that the caller is using VOIP.  They can enter whatever number they want to display on caller id.

I have been getting the call all day from "000000"! They actualle left a message and it said to call, and gave me a number. I could barely understand his indian accent. But it said if I do not call back all he can say is good luck! and God Bless....It was really weird.  He did not have my last name, and could def not pronounce my first name.  Weird!!!!

Called 1471 this morning after missing the call- answer machine was on-but there was no message

called and just said 'mug' before hanging up. no hello, no goodbye, just 'mug'. am i supposed to know what this is about or something?

These people have called me numerous times and i keep telling them im not interested. They rang again today, as usual an indian guy, and as usual asking for Claire Simmons, i said i was her (im not), he said i could consolidate my debts blah blah, told him i wasnt interested in his speel and told him to p*** off and hung up. 2 seconds later he rings back to tell me I had been very rude to him and he had been nothing but polite to me, i explained that i am sick of getting calls from them asking for a claire simmons and when you say youve never heard of her theyre always like oh r u the homeowner and that i was sick of it cos i was x directory and so would they just f*** off and hung up.  He only rang back again!! I asked was he takin the p***, he said no he just wanted to tell me how rude i had been to him by swearing so i screamed down the phone "well stop ringing me then!!!" and hung up.  I can guarantee that they will ring again next week, [***]!!!!

Hapened once. I hanged up. MF

DO NOT ANSWER!! I have the iphone and someone called me with that strange number and my phone totally crashed. it took a very long time to restore on itunes on my computer!

I have had two phone calls today from 00000 numbers.

1. Said they were from VISA head office and I'd won a two week holiday and they just wanted to check some details. We got no further than my address when I said goodbye.

2. Said his name was Alec and he was doing a survey on 'daily life'. Said I wasn't interested and goodbye.

Both were the same foreign unidentifiable accent.

Just got a call from this, but didnt answer it. Next time they ring i'll have a bit of fun with them >:D

The number 02130 000000  (02130 appears to be a "protected" code in the UK) rang this morning (I live in the UK) with a foreign accented lady (wasn't Indian - nor was it French - I'm good at that!) claiming to be from a French Porcelain company in Limoges and inviting me to a week-end fair at a local hotel in the UK with lots of prezzies and prizes and standard marketing approaches!
No interest in French Porcelain so very easy to politely request her to ..... off - but intrigued by the code and the number - how do they get it?

Replying to my own post having read the trail.
Most interesting thing about the trail was the entry suggesting that a 000000 number in the UK was an internet call - that would explain why in the UK the area code of 02130 was down as protected.
I think it would help if posters would identify the country they are writing about/from because its obvious from the trail that different countries and different phone companies even within the country have different capabilities - so it does sound as if in the UK BT will block the 000000 last number if you have paid for that facility - £2 a month last time I looked (last week) but bundleable with other facilities such as caller ID etc - Total for all in the bundle was £3.50.

I have about 6 calls a day from this number, its always indian guy, asking for Mrs ANDREWS, I tell him i'm not her, my husband has told him to feckk off, all to no avail, i just stopped answering phone when 000000 number comes up, i work nights so its reall y pissin me off

I had a call about 10 mins ago from some Indian guy asking to speak to me by my first name not last and then asked me what was my favourite country, i told him the f**king uk obviously and hung up. He then phoned me back and said I told him to 'feck' off' he then started to state all the info he knew about me- full name, address, city, email address, i just told him he had the wrong person and put the phone down. not sure his name or where he was calling from he wouldn't tell me on the second call.
Really freak me out though, reported it to the police because of the amount of details he knew, waiting for the call back now.
first time he rang i pressed 1471 and it came up 000000 second time 091148.
Will update if I have anymore details.

Has been calling everyday for a week now. Asked who was calling and was told some research company. Told them I was no longer at this number. Still calling asking to speak to me. Sounds like an indian call centre. If I don't say hello straightaway there is a 3-4 second delay then the recorded message "goodbye" and the caller hangs up.
