why do people call my phone like this it not nice. so i will like to find out who it is.

Got a call on my cell number and my caller ID only listed it as being an eight digit number. 0000-0000

I was surprised cause I have service blocks on my phone which restrict unknown/private calls.

I called my cell carrier, Verizon. The rep said it was unusual and she didn't have any way of blocking it that she was aware of, but would forward my compliant to Verizon's research department.

You'd think that a huge phone company like Verizon would already have that technological solutions to thwart scum outfits from finding ways around their service blocks, but apparently they don't.

Normally I could just punch in whatever 10 digit number I want to block, as well as having an overall block on all unknown/restricted numbers trying to call me, but in this cased since it shows up as on eight digits, Verizon's blocking system isn't accepting the block commands.

This seems crazy considering how much we pay these phone companies. They should be able to keep pace better with these low-life con artists and telemarketing companies tricks.

I have notified the FBI about these harrassing phone calls. Whether I'm in financial debt, they have no business calling me.

keep getting these calls saying that my lap top has a problem and if i give them my password and log in details they can sort it out . well my lap top funny enough my lap top has no problems. So guys dont fall for this scam

Let me just join this lone line of people having these calls from 0 x9.
First time a chap on the line said I had made enquiries about a 'slip or trip', and he was telling me that my case had been looked at and I was in line for at least £15k+.
Obviously I told him that this was bloody nonsense, and I asked him who the hell he was and why he calls me from 0 x9 number.
He told me I had, and then the conversation started getting silly.
He ended up F..ing & Blinding at me, telling me I was stupid etc.
So if this is happening to so many people, it must be an organsied scam and the people behind this website MUST inform the telecommunications people and authorities and put a stop to it.
Come on guys please do that for us.

Got a call from 000-000-00.  Picked up out of curiosity.  They said they were from the Yellow Pages?  Wanted to charge $5.00.  I told them no, and they just hung up.

Got a call about 5 mins ago, wanted to speak to the man of the house. I said "Not interested mate" and he said: "[***] OFF" and hung up!

These people call several times a day and of course there is nothing there but a lot of voices in the background.  I have answered and told them not to call, however, it is no doubt just a computer call.

they keep phoning my grandmothers house and sometimes she struggles to make the phone only to hear silence, ive answerd it a few times also and just had silence, what do they gain from it???? do they want me to phone back ??/,  we did try just to see and BT wouldnt allow it. there must be some way of tracking there number legaly and stop them scamming people and being a genuine nuisence.
