- snave replies to codyReceived my first 00000000 call this morning and put the phone down immediately. An hour later I received a call from 0011002981 from someone who said that he understood that I was receiving lots of unwanted marketing and nuisance calls. This is presumably because the 00000000 call was to verify my number and then add it to a list of numbers that was to be sold. The guy who thought I was receiving too many nuisance calls was a bit quick off the mark though. Presumably he was going to offer me a solution that would undoubtedly have cost me, even if only to make a phone call to a premium rate line. I can only assume he was part of the group who made the first call.

- GuyThe 00000000 number began calling me recently. I never picked it up because it was a painfully obvious scam. Still keeps calling me. I really hope the guy that does this find something productive to do with their seemingly endless amount of time. Or gets arrested, either one. Don't know if this helps but I might as well post this.

- birdlady replies to C.WrightAbsolutely no no no do not give your details to any 'cold' caller. This is a SCAM & you are putting yourself at risk of your details being used fraudulently. If you want to put in a claim for an accident find a solicitor & put a claim in. I don't understand how anybody can think 00000000 can be a real numbet :-! It is from a network 'unable to transmit numbers' i answered once out if curiosity & a robotic voice just said Goodbye! Please be careful eith these scammers
