000-000-0000 ? I bet its a phone system that works on existing phone lines without the phone company. Probly has its own servers. How else could they not be traced?
I got the call and let it go to my 3 minute long "relaxational music"; answering machine message. They lost interest and hung up. Or maybe i put them to sleep.

1-000-000-0000 keeps text messaging me my own home telephone number

I get calls from this # all the time.  I think I only answered once and they hung up. Now I don't bother to answer.  I let it go to the machine, but they never leave a message.

I have been receiving calls on my home phone from this number about once a day for a month. The first day I got a call from this number I also got three calls from a number in Riverside County,CA where they would hold the phone next to their answering machine to get feedback wail. The caller ID for this number was 1st SOURCE FUND. I don't know if the three calls are related to the "zeros" call, or just coincidence. In the past I've been phone-hassled by Jesus Freaks and Riverside is known for having a large number of them. I put in Firstsource.com and it took me to "Telemarketing Call Centers India". I haven't answered any of these calls figuring they would tire and give up ...  but Freaks and Indians may be paid to dial; if not in points with the Lord, then in rupies

I keep getting calls from 0000000000 and I dont answer them, I have logged the caller in my phone as "Dont answer this!". You would think these people would have the brains to hide their number unless their scam involves connecting you to a premium rate line? who knows. Anyway if you like your ringtone, it saves you having to go into your music player !!

We have been getting calls from a company trying to take over our phone lines and broadband connection.  They rang 3 times a week for about a month and told whoever answered the call that another member of the family had asked them to call back to arrange the transfer.  They continued calling despite being told that we were not interested.  BT could not trace the calls either and we were unable to block the number.

000-000-0000 called mea nd I knew that it was suspicious and hung up right away! They haven't called since then.

The caller said her name was Charline and she wanted to make an appointment with the Dr. because she broke her lens.  While I don't have caller Id, my daughter got the same call on her cell phone and the number came up 000-000-0000.  What is up with this?

got a 000-000-0000 call on my cell phone.  I picked it up and it was a recording wanting to check and see if I wanted my carpets professionaly cleaned.  Hung up.  Very annoying

I get a call from this number about 1 time a week.  In my case it is a prerecorded message from Blockbuster saying this is just a friendly reminder that I should return some movies by the end of the business day on Wednesday or my account will be charged the full amount for the video.  It also goes on to say what movies I have out.  In my case I really welcome the call.

the calls have been coming every almost every half hour for the past few months. i don't know what to do. has anyone been able to resolve this issue? i've tried registering a complaint but can't do it since i don't have their real number. i get an automated system telling me to refinance. then it asks me to press some number so that i can speak to a representative. when i get someone on the line and tell them i want them to stop calling, they hang up. how is everyone else dealing with this?

so have i been getting annoying calls from this number...i think i will go ahead and report it to my phone company cuz they call like..every freaking day and minimum 5 times! oh well...as long as no one cares about the customers that pays the phone bill...there will be 000-000-0000 numbers and 555-555-5555..i don't answer so... why even use those numbers... duh!

I've been getting calls from 000-000-0000 for about a week or so.  I contacted my phone company and they said to answer the call - say nothing - hang up.  Then, pick up and get a dial tone and dial star 60 and hang up.  According to our phone package we have, that will give them a busy signal every time they call us.  We have two lines so I've now done it for both lines.  Will see if it helps.

I was told not to answer, and that it is a way for nerds with nothing else to do , to get your information...is that correct?

I pressed "1" to talk to someone. When I requested to be removed from the call list, she hung up on me.

I get this number when my boyfreind calls me from the internet in honduras.So maybe these people are calling from the internet and its hard to trace their number.

I've gotten a number of calls from the 000-000-0000 number.  I think it's kind of stupid, and wonder why anyone would use this form of marketing.

I get these calls at least 10 or 20xs a day they just don't stop will they ever stop

The phone companies don't want to help us block these caller's numbers because they are making money on it or they would've done something about it by now. Small home based businesses like mine already spend tons of money on phone book advertising and depend on our business lines to make a descent living. I own/operate a 24hr mobile locksmith business and these telemarketers/con artists take time away from my customers trying to get through when they have an emergency so they call someone else and I lose money. The National Do Not Call List does not apply to business lines so business owners are hit the hardest.

After ignoring this unidentifed number for several days I answered to a very rude man who insisted I verfy the number he called. He asked for someone I do not know and refused to identify himself.
