I just Googled this number after they've been calling so many time a day for the last three weeks.  They even called on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but they never leave a message.  Now I think it could be AOL because I dropped their service in December.  Gawd...I've heard they can be sore losers but this is awful...

It seems everyone here has the same issue.  What concerns me why isn't anything been done.?  Just to keep posting on here seems a waste of time because everyone has the same issue and nothing is being done.  We all know by now that the phone number 000-000-0000  is a bunch of bull.  What l did and is the best thing.  I programmed my caller ID with a prerecorded messaged telling them to kiss off.  I read one time in a consumer book someone put out it said do this if you want  telemarketers to stop calling.  What they suggested is the following.  (This only works if there is someone on the line). When these people start giving you their pitch say to them the following and l guarantee you they will not call back.  ASK THEM WHAT COLOR UNDERWEAR THEY ARE WEARING. It is as simple as that.  I have had a 95% hang up rate and no more return calls.  It may sound crazy but it works think about it.  It will work.

The 000-000-0000 number is typical for use when hiding the callers ID.  We use it quite often.  Being rude like rusky above just invites more calls.  When I get these, I forward their number as a "live lead" to over 100 other telemarketers in the field for various companies.   If we call a certain number more than 3 times in a week and get no response, then we mark it as a "dead lead" and remove it from our list.

spoofing caller ID in california is illegal, so if you get calls from this number you should definately call your phone company, if you accidentally pick up you get listed as live, so you are only opening yourself up to more calls, i've gotten this from blockbuster, and some private boarding school telling me that the child i dont have told them to call my number... they havent called back

    Sunday Morning
it's early on Sunday morning and this call wakes me up with all zeros.  Some lady who could hardly speak english and pronounce my name is asking me to upgrade from my free AOL service I got with my new computer.  I told her that I'd be leaving AOL instead.

I get calls all the time at my business with all zeros.  It's usuallythe the local Snap-On dealer harrassing my mechanics to keep their truck accounts up to date.  He calls them at work, home, on their cell, it's very annoying.  Apparently anyone can purchase a spoof service.

I get these call all the time. At first, I ignored them but my wife picked up once.  That was all it took, now we get them sometime three times a day. Last week the radio station had a talk show on spoofing calls and email.  If it's all zeros, then its a spoof call...dont answer it.  If you do, you just invite more calls from other marketers.  Their rule,  if it's an important call, they'll leave a message.

If 000-000-0000 (or any other number) is annoying you on your cell or other programmable phone, just put that number in your Contacts List, and give it a custom ringtone of "NONE."  Then your phone won't ring when these [***] call you. :-)

It's now 2:02 pm, EST and so far I have received 4, count 'em 4 calls from this #. At first I thought it might be my son who frequently calls about noon but sometimes hits my number instead of the one intended and realized his mistake and hung up.  But after three more I think it's some political machine trying to get my attention since the SC primary is this Saturday.  I have had, in the past, a couple of these type of "hang up if anyone answers" calls but this is getting very annoying.  Who DOES one report this to?
p.s. Sleeping in Seattle - my phone won't let me assign a ringtone, but that sounds like a great idea.

I've been recieving calls form 000-000-0000 on my cell phone for quite some time now. I finally deceded to answer it and it was an eastern womans voice and accent named "Alexis". Ahe clamed she was from the IRS and that I was owed $4000 in back taxes. In order for me to recieve it from their account at Bank of America. I had to give them my routing number to my checking account. I simply told her I don't give that info over the phone and that they should send me something in the mail. She was very persistent and I eventually hung up on her. She called right back from an 800 number (also bogus). I became very angry and hung up. I got another call today and I asked her "HOW SHE GOT THE NUMBER". Afet a pause she said "demographics". I informed her that that was impossible due to it being a mobile and that the phone wasn't even in my name and that telemarketing is illegal on mobiles and that my company was keeping track of the calls. She hung up this time.

The local Snap-On dealer uses this number to call my shop all the time and pester my mechanics into buying tools.  These are shameful companies that use unprofessional methods to sell stuff.  I see someone else has the same problem with Snap-On.  I'm in Portland, OR.

I'll be damned if I would ever admit that I was a telemarketer.
Have you ever considered getting a ' real life ??? '
To call on legitimate business is one thing.
To call just to harrass is another story.
To a lot of people, you are lower than dog crap.

This is the number that shows up on my caller ID when BlockBuster's automated service is calling to tell me that my movies are going to be late. I already know what it's going to be about, before I pick up on my call.

AOL uses this number to haunt you to return to their service.  They've called three times today and I keep telling them to leave me alone.  I need to file a complaint with someone to get rid of them forever.

    DO NOT CALL
With digital phone service telemarketers can spoof their call id number with any thing they want.  However, Earthlink's TruVoice phone service lets me block the 000-000-0000 or any other number and it is forwarded to the non existent number 555-555-0000.  I hear nothing, not one ring and all they hear is a ringing phone!  What a great idea!
