I received calls from this number but don't know who it is so I don't answer.  I want them to STOP.

Got two calls from this 'number' today.  I even put my cell number on that Do Not Call list....

Someone has been calling us from 000-000-0000 and said they were from Breast Cancer Research. We asked them to send something in the mail so we could make a donation and they did. I accidentaly threw it away (wish I would have kept it). They told me that since I pledged to give money that it was very important I gave them money.I told them no that I wasn't going to send them any money. This really upset the lady who called herself "Mary Fox".  I called the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and they said that they have received calls from people saying the same exact thing. They said that they DO NOT make over the phone pledges.  This is obviously a scam!!! I'm sure that they are somewhere overseas collecting money from people for numerous scams. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!!

It said it was Blockbuster saying that i had a video overdue.  I now use Netflix because of no "late" videos. LOL :) But yes, this was a pain in the [***] ass so I answered and just screamed in the reciever. weird she never called back. i have awesomn singing voice

When I answered the phone & said, "Who is this", a woman said "SSI". I said, "What does that stand for?" and she hung up.

mine asked for a member of my house hold.

SAid BUsiness development office from QUebec, but did not speak a word of french. Asked if we were moving - they called this morning too. I went into asking more details: who do you work for ? THe government. You don't speak French ? NO mam I just got in, I'm from Ontario (*yeah sure). He keeps coming back to his questions, I go back to mine, I ask him if he has a web site and he hangs up on me...

my phone rang today with the number all 0's and i know its the government treing to find out where i am

I have been receiving calls asking for Dean saxton , who i have never heard of. The number used to be withheld but now its coming up 0000 00000000
I lost my temper one day as they continued to call and was told by the arrogant asian young man that he receives a bonus of £5 every time he gets a wrong number , so he will continue to call even though he now knows that this man does not live here.
I am livid what is the point of that? I then decided to irritate him. so i either ignore the phone and do 1471 or if i pick up i just say he's not available at the moment  , that way its not a wrong number , they aren't getting a bonus and suprise surprise they now only  call once or twice a week instead of 3 - 4 times every  day.
i think the company is a debt company trying to sell IVA's etc.

I just got one of these calls, as well. Ironically, I am a telemarketer--tho' not any cold calling...and I know the delay is just the computer waiting to connect, so I waited...and they hung up...it happens. I'm not some mentally and culturally lazy and insane American, that blows a gasket for a wrong number or because I'm being called by a salesperson--I mean, if this piddly little stuff ever bothered me to the point where I recact with unnatural violence towards a total stranger, I'd get an unlisted number..and a big bottle of Prozac!

I was annoyed with being woken up when I'm ill, and it should be illegal for an all zeros number to appear--if you lot are really pissed off, you need to contact your local state's attorney general or province's/County eqivilent, and tell them to fix this. The company I work for lists it's number on caller ID.

Oh, and here's a tip from the field--don't get pissed off if you don't answer and people keep ringing you back! OF COURSE they are going to ring you back, if you don't answer! DOH. Use your common sense!

The longer u stay on phone w/ them the longer they can your info,I made out a police report,last year, if its out of country they/we USA can't do anything unless that country will help  (for instance lets say calls come from the Bahama's etc.,if their law will help us its good, if not, USA can't do anything) what I do when my caller ID,shows from someone I do know is a telemarketer, and 000000000 that right there is a sign, don't be curious! I push the green button (answer) then the red button which is a hang up or a disconnect) do it very very fast, they call using any/different
name of credit card accts or banks,they said my C/C comp, which I did have..
wanted me to key it in on phone..Yeah Right!
you say u don't have that acct then they want u to put in your Soc Sec /etc. to verify your acct is ok...do what I do answer button then the hang up button.. do gently not in anger, thats what they want and will keep doing it. I had a $9.75 on my chking account, I myself traced it,BEWARE of trying to orderfrom ads from as seen on tv, they keep u hanging on/connecting you all over trying to sell more etc.(just to keep u on long.. (not all tv ads)...by that time you gave them your C/C number for ..lets say Shammywow... wow is right, thats how I found out.
once you just keep on phone they get all/most info,I filled a police report for that also the bank had me sign papers etc. i got it back, but it could have been worse, it was a company is not in USA and the police know the company already, I use We ferett(FREE dwnload) for years and years,and i mean a lot of years.. u can type in anything even a saying it will bring up info, thats how I found this site. I hope i am not confusing,and sorry if I am.
Just be careful,also check telephone codes, there is one for police #52 (Ithink) there is a charge for that one, just be careful,best thing is what I do pickup dont say anything then hang up QUIETLY.

I to also had a call today from 000-000-0000 on my Nextel.
I have had other odd #'s in the past call in.
My best advise is if you don't know the #, DON'T ANSWER!
Never know what they are up to & if your going to be scammed & not even know it.

This is about the 3rd time recently I got this call.  I would like to know how they get the caller ID to show 000 000 0000 as they must be calling from some number.  It is highly deceptive.  I never answer them.  Best bet to block calls when do not want to be annoyed--i.e. taking a nap----take the phone off the hook before hand and let it go silent.  MUCH BETTER THAN THE DO NOT CALL LIST WHICH HAS TOO MANY LOOP HOLES IN IT.

I received seven calls over a 26-hour period on Saturday and Sunday from 0000000000. I didn't answer and the caller didn't leave a message. I just received another on Wednesday.

I got a call from 1-000-000-0000 at 9:45pm EST  !!!!! , I didn't answer it and it went to my voicemail, I listened and it was an automated voice telling me I had to contact the office immediately for an urgent matter. My office closed at 5 that night, and no one would contact me if there was a problem anyway !!!

i got a call from this number on my cell phone at 11:49 am
then again at 11:51 pm.
i'm 16& i have my own phone plan so i have no idea why they keep calling me!
i refuse to answer

If you do anwser this, call and tell them to call this number which is your homephone-get out your local phone book and find your local FBI number and give that number to them. Or check out Tom Mabe on google or youtube and have some fun with them. I've done this alot and don't ask me about the girl that calls me each year about cleaning my carpet. I ask her if she can see to it that if I need to have blood clean off my carpet at about 2:00am if they can do that! She laughs now because she knows its me she talking to. hehe Its all how you look at it:)
