- CatMissed call from 0000 0000 00 today at 11:06am (UK). No voicemail left.
Never bothers me to be honest - all the numbers listed in my phones number list all have the same very distinctive ring, any other number calls it rings differently so even if I am in and the phone rings if it doesn't have the "right" ring I don't bother answering. If it's genuine and they need to speak to me they'll leave a voicemail. - VictimYou are fools if you think the FTC and the Do Not Call program accepts indivudal complaints. It is a joke they play on us. Get a lawyer and sue them. Your corrupt congressman get his election contributions from these collection agencies so they will ignore anything you say. first of all you need to know who allows this type of treatment. Yes it is your congressman who voted to allow this. Call them and they say they can't do anythong. Which is a lie, they just want their election contributions. I email call my congressman regularly. Tell them you will not vote for them again and will pass the word around. The Do Not Call list is for telemarketers only. And as I said they do not investigate individual complaints nor does the FTC. I know they have forms to fill out. But that is trick and of no use. If congress is against you you do not have a chance. They make the laws. I get 70 to 80 calls a month from debt collectors. I owe no one any money and never have. They still continue to call. Never answer the phone or call them back. Buy phones with call block feaTURES AND SWITCH TO PHONE COMPANIES THAT HAVE CALL BLOCK. some cell phones allow you to select a separte ring for an individual. Select silent mode yfor these callers.
000-000-0000 is a Internet Voice Portal or spoofing software to hide their true idenity.- Caller: unknown
- Kath BiddickI got a call on my landline number and let the answerphone take it - when I looked at the caller display it had 0000000000 on it.
- KathIf you don't recognise a number that comes up on your caller display or they don't leave a message or call back - IGNORE IT.
If it's important enough they'll call you back and if it's telesales (which it usually is) make something up to get them off the line...say that someone's at the door and you've got to go - then hang up.
You can google what sort of replies to say to telesales marketing callers and some of them are hilarious - it usually stops them from calling again. - Not AmusedBeen getting calls from that number for about six months, sometimes trying to sell vacation packages or credit card relief. I am in western Canada and these jerks have called as late as 10:15 PM and as early as 7:30 AM. Funny thing is that all of the callers when I have answered all sound like APU from the Kwiky Mart !!!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ugh!!!I've been getting these quite a bit lately. Sucky thing is that it *might* be my ex-wife. We have a restraining order against her, and if it IS her, she'd get in a lot of trouble. Problem is, it comes up 000-000-0000. I have my phone (AT&T) blocking unknown calls, but they say 5% get through - mostly internet calls. I have an app on my BB to block these, but the house phone still gets them. Next step is changing the #.
- Jill H.I've been getting calls from 1-000-000-0000 where it's either someone calling herself Jan with a really thick Indian accent trying to sell me something to where you can barely understand her or a child laughing. I thought these were spoof calls which are illegal. I've tried blocking the numbers but I still get the calls. It's creepy.

- TiffanyI just got a call from this number, I answered it because I just couldn't believe there was really a number like that and I was curious as to who or what it could be. The woman on the other line had a think accent, and the sound for lots of other people talking in the background madeit hard to hear her, but sh told me that she was looking for my mom, who died only a couple months ago, said that she was with government in DC and that my mom had been picked to get $7000 tax refund/loan that she would never have to pay back.
I though, 'okay simple enough to get them to stop calling' "That's my mom, but she died a couple months ago so I don't know what 7k is going to do for her." At this point, instead of saying something like, "Sorry for your loss, I'm sorry to have bothered you." She turned her sights on me asking me if I was any relation to her, I told her I was her daughter and without asking me my age, if I was legal to take the money, anything. Started to tell me about it and have me a code and number to call.
I didn't think to write down the number, I just hung up on her and started looking at who it might have been. And now that I know, I sure hope they don't start calling as often as most of the people on here say that they do. It's not a very happy time in my home since mom died and the last thing anyone around here needs is rude, pushy people trying to scam and scare everyone. - CalactusI just got a call from 000-000-0000 "Name Unavailable". Guy was very rude/hyped up; asked for my dad by name, than asked if I was his wife (I'm his son). I asked him his name, he quickly said "Pete, is Ron there?" Then I said no, and he said he'd call back later. Really creeped me out.

- Sickofit| 1 replyI just started getting these calls a week ago on my cell while at work. I answered and a really bit**y woman (American) started asking for my name, if I was at home or work. She was relentless, I kept asking who she was, of course she would not tell me and kept asking my name over and over. I said "You called me, I'm not telling you anything until you identify yourself". She didn't, I quit talking and then she kept saying "Can you hear me?" over and over. I said NO and hung up. She then started calling repeatedly even calling twice in one minute several times. I refuse to answer a call from 000-000-0000 after my cell provider told me that they could not trace it or locate the origin and that criminals and scammers use this not only to get personal, identifying information but also to find out if you are home. I guess sometimes your cell can be traced to find it's location if the people have that kind of technology. It scares me and I see by reading these posts that I am not alone in that regard. I think we all have good reson to be scared and VERY cautious with these sick individuals. Who knows what they are capable of? In my case that number calls around 12-15 times a day, never at night. My mom has gotten two calls from 100-000-0000 and hasn't answered after I told her about mine. I really feel like these people are trying to figure out where we are to rob us. If anyone here has been robbed, please post about it, I want to be able to show our local Police Department and our phone provider. Thanks.

- SpruceGetting those 10-zero calls also -- my phone is programmed to answer with a buzy signal as soon as the Caller ID info with 10-zeros comes in -- but it is still annowying to get these every half hour. I think that any Caller ID spoofing should be made a felony with the perps being fined $1,000 per call and serve hard time for mass calling with spoofs. No wonder folks are dropping their landlines in droves and opting for cellphones only. One would think that the telcos would find it in their financial interest to make their central office equipment spoofing resistent.

- MikeI was just called by 0000000000 and they said they were from the Illinois Federation of Police. I called the state police and researched them on the internet........no such thing as the Illinois Federation of Police.

- VEEVEEThe caller keeps calling a government agency, harassing all the employees and using abusive language.
- Sickofit replies to SickofitI forgot to mention that about 5 days prior to getting these 10 zero calls, my IPhone was stolen. I did report it immediately and also it was locked at the time. I was told by my provider that nothing could be accessed after they did their thing, but that illegals, criminals, terrorists etc, if they have the technology can basically turn it into a new untraceable phone. Now I wonder if that's how/why they were able to get my number. Yesterday afternoon while at work, the 10 zero calls started again with 4 in rapid succession. On the 4th call I answered and just said "who is calling please". This woman didn't say anything at first so I repeated what I said and she kind of had sarcastic tone and said an address which I did know. She said nothing else and I said "who is this". She just sat there so I hung up and that number called back 6 times then stopped. I never did answer. I'm very careful to not stay on the line over 20 seconds. Today the number called 3 times in a row, then about 30 minutes later it called once and that was it. I think they got my number from my stolen phone regardless of what my provider says. Does anyone know if the provider is correct and they really can zap everything remotely? Now I have the iPhone 4 and they said they could zap it also if I would lose it or it is stolen again as well as trace it anywhere it is. I thought they could do that with my 3GS but it hasn't happened yet. I can't believe that this phone that is suppose to be top of the line does not have a call block feature, yet much cheaper phones do. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do on this phone to block that number? Thanks Again
- jeffCould barely understand the man, sounded like he had a strong Indian accent. Could hear telemarketers in the background. The guy claimed that my computer had been had been identified as one to potentially contain malicious software and that I had been located through my local server.... total BS.
When I questioned him about who he worked for he said something about Microsoft and that this was part of their on going service. He said that someone would be sent to pickup my computer for service. After attempting to question him again and getting nothing but vague answers I told him I was hanging up. This call occurred at 23:15h, in Ontario Canada.- Caller: Unsure
