Some body called me from a 00000000 number

Have had calls from this number a few times.  Usually  I don't get to the phone on time, but did manage it twice, and they said they were calling about my computer.
I've heard about this and that it's a scam.
Should I inform the police?

R'c'd 1st call @ 3 yrs ago; thought I had made an error (no voices).
2nd call (03/07/2012) 1471 gave 0000????? .  Checked internet,realised serious
nuisance problem exists.What annoys me most is that the so called brains
of the IT world admit that they dont know how to stop these calls.

twice now from this number, about the same time 1300 hrs
never answer any unknown number but would like to meet the people who control it

For the last two days this number has called me 5 times each afternoon.  I answered it once and then tried to message asking this number to stop calling me - the message didn't send but went straight to drafts. My mobile provider can't trace it even though it rang while I was talking to them. Anyone know for certain WHO this is or HOW I can stop getting these calls?

Tell me my computer is infected from Mircosoft, has me check by right clicking on computer and then mange and then event viewer, and the window logs, and then application and then system. They say I have a problem and then want me to connect to one of thier tech to view my computer. I didn't trust them so I disconnected my computer from the start of the phone conversation from the internet.
She did give me her Name Katherin and her phone nu.mber of 201 234- 4604. Heavy Indian Accent

what a strange number, wish i could hunt these people down

I've had this number calling me for years now and was ignoring the calls until they rang at 10 at night waking the kids and hubby who had school and work the next day. I answered and the guy asks for the previous tenant I explain this is no longer his house number and he tells me to stop lying ant to f off! The cheek this guy rang me and woke my kids and I should f off. Somebody plz tell me how to get rid of these calls. I'm already with tps.

The phone rang and the caller had withheld their number. The call came in at 0845am on Mon 20 Aug 2012

got white noise and then my phone turned off. turned it on again nd all the phone was doing was white screen and crackling sound in speaker. then it cllde later that day and the same thing happened.

Received a call on my MOBILE from an Indian sounding man who said he was from Network Solutions or similar. Did not ask for me by name but just tried to sell me free phone calls

We do not have the callers name or number to give you. Why Not?
A man kept saying "hello" sounded foreign as per usual.

Called on Thurs Aug 30 at 13.45. "We do not have the callers number to return the call" according to 1471

Rang again at 18.33 today. Asked for home owner. I hung up.
1471 said "we do not have the callers number to return the call."

Called today at 16.04. I did not answer. 1471 reports "We do not have the callers number to return the call"
