that is the police calling you
i have learnt in school and from my dad that is a police officer
that a 0000000000 number is the police station
He calls my cell many times and it shows up as 0's

unanswered this call,I think the 'dodgy' number is an unregistered/illegal number, bought on the black market from 'bent' telephone company employees, used then by fraudsters who don not wish to be traced/identified

It calls me. I want to kill myself. PLEASE!!! STOP! or i will take oil put it over me and burn myself:(

got a call from this number twice today, the first time was a hang up and the secong time they asked me if i was my father and then said that they were a company in frace and would like to invite my mother and father to an event and when was the best time to call them back so i said not to bother, after reading these comments i'm scared this is the start of many for my parents even though they are not suppost to receive any calls like this.

plz dont call ever because i am scared and i will killl myself if u call me again or i will have sex wid ma dad

STRANGE NUMBER 00000000000 TODAY 09.07.2009 16:48 CALLING FROM GORA GORAKHPUR(U.P.) SAY TO HE WILL MEET ME WITRHEN ONE HOUR .

This number had called a few times (as well as out of area/international numbers) over the last week.  Last night 31/7/09 I answered it.  It was from someone with a foreign accent saying they were calling from a debt management company.  When I pointed out that I am on the Telephone Preference Service list and that they shouldn't be calling my number the caller told me that it wasn't a sales call and I should listen.  I told them I didn't want to talk to them and put the phone down.  No calls back as yet!  As I don't have any debts that require managing this call couldn't be genuine.  I suspect it's a chancer BUT to vulnerable people calls like this could get them into a lot of trouble.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I should add that they also knew my name ...

I just got my first few calls from this number.I ignored it at first thinking it was just a one-off, but then realised that it really wasn't going to quit. So i looked it up on the net and found this!! Seems I might be getting this call a lot more from now on!!!

Got one of these today despite having call-barred the "all-the-zeros" number before. They claimed to be from "money Management" whoever they are, and were looking for a person who doesn't exist. When I pointed this out the guy (Planet India, obviously) went silent. After a minute or two waiting to see what he'd say, I hung up. And call-barred it again. Bet it still doesn't work.

This number called a man then a woman spoke in English with foreign accents. Sounded like from an Asian country.
Nothing else said and hung up after silence.
If these people will not identify themselves how do we know who is calling?
Caller ID shows 00000000000. This is not a number used by genuine companies who should at least leave some means of response.
Personally I feel this means of contact now carries too much risk of fraud it would be better if contact was made by letter.

how do I get these calls to stop?

I get this call 4x a day as early as 9 am and as late as 9 pm

One Time I answer it and no one said anything; I heard some noise for 10 sec and then it hung up on me.

Now I just put this number into my directory as Do Not Answer #4 and I don't answer it.

I called it and it was busy... BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!

Someone called at approx 1630 today to a UK land-line. Used BT 1471 to check and got this very strange 00000000000 phone number.

11.44 this morning got a call from 'Compensation Services' so immediately hung-up then 1471'd the number to get 00000000000. What could possibly go wrong?

Had a call from this number about 15 minutes ago. I didn't answer.  I reckon  they can leave a message if they know me.

I have had this call a few years back, and it was a boat or somthing,
I think its a call from another part of the world where there phone numbers are longer, and our phone's cut it off, and the good bye at the end it creppy

We have just had this number call, but fortunately I didn't get to the phone in time. Don't know what it is. We have got this new gadget called 'True Call'. I can programme it to refuse calls from any numbers I choose, and I have just added this to the list. We haven't been bothered by and calls from this number since! Seems by everyones comments that it's not just scamming one thing, but multiple things. Beware!
