I got a call from this number at 3am, it was annoying.  I picked up and it was silence.

This number has called my cell phone a dozen times in the past 2 days. The first time a voicemail was left that I couldn't make out. When I pick up it disconnects. Weird.

This number keeps calling my place of work and very vulgure. It is very uncalled for. Gave me a name of John. The words he used is very rude, too rude to mention on here.

They call me twice last week but I didn't answer I Google and a see the problem its someone from China guy's

This is the number that shows up on caller id when someone Skype's you.  If you are expecting someone from overseas to call via skype, answer it.  Otherwise it is probably a prank call.

 I need expert advice what to do next as I do not want them to access my files.

This evening, 12/4/11, around 5p.m. I received a call from an Indian lady who claimed that she is from a tech.support company and told me that my laptop is very slow because there are many corrupted  files and she will help me to clean up the problem.

I try my best to recall the details of what I was told to do below because there were several steps:-

I was told to give the laptop access no. but I did not know as this laptop belongs to my son and he is not in. She managed to get the number and then she asked me to press the key on the right of the Ctrl logo like 4 small squares at the same time to press R key.

Then a small box appears on the left bottom corner of my laptop & she asked me to type in 'Prefetch' The there was some movement of black screen with white words of many files, running. I later repeated the same thing & she directed me to a person "Anna Thomson" I didn't talk to her but she said this lady is helping to clean my corrupted files.

I then was asked to type www.logmein123.com

Then she said that there is a plan 1 or plan 2 which I have to subscribe to continue to scan my laptops in future from any corrupted files. I told her I cannot subscribe to any plan as this is not my laptop & anything she wants she has to refer to my son.

She asked another Indian man to talk to me, name sounds like, Craig. He tried to convince me to sign on but I refused. As I have a guest coming to visit me then, I told him to contact my son & gave my son's mail address, while I sms my son about this.

Later my son told me that I have been tricked by a scammer and told me to

I answered because it was a definite weird number, and there was an orgasmic sigh and they hung up. o.o

ok, just found out it was my mom calling on skype trying to figure it out and it was a sigh of irritation.

guys is it common that the Indian guy call after 2-5 days from ordering something on line?

i got a strange call from a unknown caller the number appear as 012-3456 they said i did a fraud only thing i did is put a loan application in to cashadvance.com they said i'm going to court if i don't show up i'm going to jail is this a scam

I just got a call from this number 000-012-3456. (after 11:00 pm on a Wednesday night, I was sleeping) When I picked up it was just a dial tone. Looks like it is some kind of a creep calling (after seeing all the posts here...) I'm getting calls regularly (almost every day) from phone scammers, this is the first time I've seen this number.....maybe it's time to turn the phone off completely...

I just got a call from this number this morning. I did not answer it tho because I figured the number could not be real. I currently have two cell phone numbers because my new one is overlapping my old. However, no one knows my knew number yet (I am waiting for another couple weeks before I tell my friends). The only time I have used my new number was yesterday when Craigslist asked for it to verify my account. I was hesitate, but it was the only way I could post so I gave it to them. Now this morning I am getting calls from this number and others.

I want to know who call me by this number.
