Here's another one for ya -

every time you get a call, string em along as for as long as you can - waste as much of their phone time - provide all the wrong answers so they're databases get filled up with totally worthless information.

Imagine if several thousand people did this on a regular basis  - it would cost them a fortune in phone bills and staff time - and their credibility would plummet along with the bogus data - they'd eventually have to stop being [***] or go bust.

This number called us twice even though they said it was random calling and we are ex-directory.  They seem very interested in our son and even wanted his name.  They ask intrusive questions and are a nuisance

I recieved a call from this number today whilst I was out they did not leave a message and I am wondering if they will call me again/
I Googled the number and found many of you had also recieved calls from them.

Had a few calls from these now, asking for me by
Name, wanting to ask questions about my car, which of
course, they new what make it was. So this is supposed to
be a randomly generated number? I think not.
Just recently did my car insurance online and always checked
the box that I did not wish to receive calls, emails etc.
Can't be a coincidence, can it. They are a p.i.t.a and I shall start to waste
their time with senseless answers and gibberish. After all, they've made
the effort to contact me, it would be rude of me not to.
I urge you all to find ,Tom Mabe's prank calls on YouTube for insperation.

Had a call off them yesterday and stupidly answered it without checking the number. Was a marketing company asking if me or anyone in the family drove a SEAT. Told em where to stick their call!!!!

This phone number has now rang 6 times in two days- I do not know who they are.
Please stop.

I had the same call at around 8.45pm tonight. As usual I do not answer calls because I don't have caller display.  I always wait till the phone stops ringing and dial 1471 afterwards to see who it is. I was surprised at such a long number.

I ignored it as I know these sort of numbers are always rubbish. In fact most of them usually tend to withhold their number.

A word of warning: NEVER ANSWER SURVEYS. You will be bombarded with a ton of cold calls if you do. I also understand these Indian call centres sell your name on to others who try their luck.

The favourite one they try is to inform you that you have a virus on your computer.

PLEASE NEVER FALL FOR THIS

They offer to fix the non existent virus for you and direct you to a website where they then take control of your computer to fix something you never had in the first place and want a princely sum afterwards.

I work in PC repairs and I have been to several people who have been caught out and landed with bills anywhere from £150 to £200

If you did not have a problem beforehand you will by the time they have finished.

They will try to bamboozle you. Just hang up. If you think you have a virus and are not happy sorting it yourself get someone local to sort it out. Never ever trust these clowns.

Letting these people on to your PC is like letting a complete stranger come into your house and rifle through your all your drawers and possessions.

If this has happened to you get your PC checked immediately as something bad is probably lurking on there.
