I'm disabled and having to hobble to the phone six or seven times a day to be met by silence is really cheesing me off to put it mildly.  Can't understand what they gain by the silence. Something needs to be done about it. Im having to unplug my phone when I go to sleep and rely on my mobile in an emergency.

i live in france and i had a call today from this number at 19 pm, i didn't answer... it's a weird number

I finally answered after days of calls coming in.  The caller told me they were from Microsoft Corp.  I asked not to be called again but, so far that hasn't worked out.  They tried to tell me something was wrong with my windows etc.  Heard it all before.

1111 am Fri 14 June 2013 - received a recorded phone message on a land line, a female voice offering a car for sale. Speech was very fast - so fast it was barely decipherable and a waste as a sales call - but it seemed to have been selling a car. I think I caught "Mercedes" and have passed it on to the local dealer in case they were involved. Unlikely, I hope - a bit beneath them..

As i am on Vodafone this is not just Orange being twonks! It is all companies that sell certain numbers and it is orange that obviously do it the most selling because they are chap gits!

please help me to know who had called me

Daughter receiving 6-12 calls from 1(234)567 89 from an Asian-sounding male.

The caller says they need to fix our computer; want us to hook phone up to computer so he could 'clean' the PC. One time he said he'd do it for free; other times he wanted a credit card because the PC was eaten up with viruses.

How do we STOP THEM, BLOCK THEM, PROSECUTE THEM?? At least find out WHO THEY ARE???

Weird people.

When I answered the phone an automated message said something about my repair being booked for (date and time) and gave me an option to change the appointment by pressing a key on the phone.

I haven't got any repair issues with anything!

Well although u cannot ring these ppl back (not that u'd want to cause it would cost a bomb!) but you can text them! I've texted the following (after having had 2 missed calls off them so far):
"I know you are scammers. I've seen the forums. I don't even live in the USA, let alone Salem, Ohio. Don't call again otherwise I'll go to the trading standards in Salem (via google obviously!) i'm sure they would be interested in to hear how you guys harass 1000s of people worldwide just to scam them. Ppl have cottoned on to ur stupid scam and don't appreciate being insulted because they've figured out you lot are scum!" Then got a call straight away on a blocked number, I answered it, only to hear some foreigner talking to me. Well they had an indian/[***] accent and I simply said, "I'm sorry I don't understand you, goodbye." as I didn't know how much it would of cost me to receive a foreign call. They haven't rung back so it must of been the scammers with a blocked number! Cheeky f*ckers! Sent them another text now stating I am now going to trading standards as blocking their number doesn't work and they really are a bunch of morons! I guess texting them works!!!

Each time I answered the phone I heard a garbled recorded message telling me I had a message from - ......49059999.     it was so fast I couldn't really understand it. The calls started at 8.15 am and continued until 10 pm at night. This morning, they started again at 8.30am. If I don't answer them they block up my answer phone, so I've taken to picking up then hanging up immediately. This isn't really solving the problem, but I can't think of what else to do. My husband and I are both disabled and these constant calls are causing us a lot of stress.

I have rung BT to see if they can put a block on these phone numbers, but all they did was try to sell me a phone that would block phone calls....they're as bad as the scammers....everyone wants to make money out of you. I asked if BT had a policy for stopping unwanted calls but it seems that unless it is a marketing nuisance call, you're on your own. I've rung the ICO & TPS, but because the message isn't selling anything, they're not interested. All I want to do is stop these wretched calls - they're driving me mad. No doubt I'm not the only person feeling hounded in this way. It's about time the UK Government did something to stop these types of scams. In the meantime - can any one suggest what I can do?

I have been having calls from this number 00123456789 three of four times a day regardless time of the day.
Mainly silent....but once a chinese sounding woman asked me "may I ....to mrs hanron?" (with very poor english).
My response was "Hoowaa chin chin tinghowa howhang!" trying to sound as much as like she did. After that she did not call for a while.
Then today it started again. Such a time waster!!!

I have now had a call from this number  twice in two days .odd number.the foreign accented male asked for me by name. I asked him who is was,heiled to answer ,o he got the Full loud whislt down the receiver in his earpiece hopefully this will be with him for a few hours needless to say he rang off odd that!

Had two calls from this number today.  The first one hung up as soon as I answered.  The second one was about half an hour later and a foreign (Indian?) male voice said I had a bank loan and needed a refund.  Just hang up on the looser.

I am 72 and in constant pain with my back injury (discs) so in order to get from the bedroom to the hall is murder for me and the above number has been pestering me for weeks together with that other no re loans etc., and I am at screaming point and they are so very arrogant when you tell them to get off the line as it's an ex directory line and ask why, they really are the limit and just do not care, real lowlifers and scammers!!

Can something be done as they are crafty enough not to leave anything on my answerphone as evidence.

The number is not real, they're faking the caller ID. They're scammers, I believe in Nigeria from their methods and accent. As always, recorded for your enjoyments ;)
