got a call this morning at 08:57 no one there when I answered

Keep getting calls from 034009054 saying they are the bank, when I checked with the Bank they told me no one had been trying to contact me They were asking for my card number etc which I refused to give them I will be reporting it to the police

Phone rang with this number. Nobody said anthing then they hung up.

I've also had _numerous_ calls which simply said "goodbye" in an automated voice, which 1471 gave the number as 00-000-000-00 (not sure exactly how many but it was all zeros). I strongly suspect that those calls were also related to this number as the 'modus operandi' (i.e. saying virtually nothing, or anything breifly said clearly being a recording, then hanging up) seem to be the same.

I've now been getting several calls a day for a few days.

I have just received a call from a rather obnoxious foreign person who said he worked for Sky asking if I have a sky box - he asked for me by a different name once I said no..he carried on trying to get information from me, but when I asked him his name and a number to call him back on - surprise surprise ,,,he hung up!

Got a call from this number (0034009054) on 18 mar 10.  It sounded like an Indian call centre lady - calling from '24-calls' (?) and she promised me a discount on my monthly BT phone bill - said that my monthly phone bill including line rental and VAT would now only be ten thousand and ninety nine pence! Imagine my delight at such a discount... She said bye very quickly when I wouldn't give any details.

Got a call from (very dogie-sounding) Indian bloke claiming to be from BT, TPS service. Said he could stop us receiving unsolicited telemarketing calls (pretty ironic I know). We're on a cable line, so no BT phone line and haven't been a BT customer for about 10 years. I did a 1471 and it was from an 003 (international code for Majorca aparently) 4009054. This is clearly a scam. Probably some big Indian call center trying to rip people off. Seems odd that so many people should receive the call from so many different numbers and always about something different... Also people phoning from the same number speaking other languages to English?.. this is weird. My advice; any phones you up to offer you any service you didn't already ask them for. Hang up...

Called twice today supposed to be Sky TV asking about my Sky Box. Told him we don't have Sky TV and man said must be wrong number and hung up.

i got a call from this number and they said something was wrong with my computer, i sadi nothing was wrong (as i was on my computer at the time) and they replied "yes but it dosnt tell you, it tells us that there is something wrong" so naturally i replied: "why would -MY- computer tell someone else that something is wrong and not me?" she replied "becuase you are not a computer expert"

i like the fact she assumed i wasnt an expert, im not but i have done college level computer courses and i know for a fact if something was wrong it would either tell me or i would figure it out

(i do not mean to sound racist in this following sentance to whom it may affect im sorry if it sounds offence)

she was a very rude indian woman who sounded like she was at home with many others and she -juest- learnt english

I just received a call from this number; they claimed to be from an insurance compensation scheme and told me about the "car accident" I had had in the last three years (which i haven;t had!) .  I stopped them there and then by asking who they though they were speaking to .... they replied "The home owner of this house" at which point I challenged who that was and the foreign sounding woman quickly said goodbye and hung up. I have called my telephone provider and notified them of this phishing scam and they are investigating... I suggest anyone who gets a call from thsi number should do the same as the more folk who report it the more likely it is that this will be properly investigated.  Reading this board makes me angry as it could be my mother or grandmother who is scammed in this way...

Just had a call at 2pm today from this number, by what sounded like an Indian lady. She said she was phoning about a problem with my Sky box (I don't have Sky), so I politely asked her what number she thought she was calling. She gave me 5 numbers, which I presume were made up at random. Due to her unlucky guess, I told her not to bother with the lottery, before hanging up.

Rang twice,morning and evening.Said they calling to see if my Sky box was working.I don't have sky but he assured me he had nothing to tell me.I believe that a chap called Marc is behind this(the name may be fictitious) but the link is in Hampshire.

Had a call from this number 0034009054 rang twice then went dead tried to ring back but number not recognised.

Just had a call from this number - line went engaged - will await another call !!!! I will wind them up when they call - I love bogus callers !

I never answer the phone, this time try answer it but quick they hang up same number.....really annoying

just recieved a call from this number saying they were a telephone company from  the government stating that we had been charged inlawfully and wanting bank details to put it back.

Had a call from this number, sounded like an, Indian call centre. The woman said she was calling from the "National Economic Department", she asked "have you heard of us", I said "No", she then hung up, very strange. Clearly fraudulent.
