i just had a call from john williams telling me that i am seven times more likely to win this than the normal lottery. i told him i dont want to about 20 times before i just hung up the phone. claiming he is from lichenstine but he doesnt have an accent from that area - it sounded more indian/pakistani. i just hung up the call as everytime i told him no he interrupted me and spoke over me and all he seemed like he wanted was my card details!  even offered me kis card details because i cant use them without his permission!!  scam alert!!!

Got a 'James' yesterday and same guy calling himself 'Nick Adam' from World Lotto Corporation. Same old script asking for CC/DC details. Is there a way to stop these people.. Should send them behind bars.

We all are on internet and know how to use it. To know if a company is legal or not, one thing that can be done is search the net about it. And rather than going about blogs and threads, better read websites like wikipedia and other third party website which do hold a review of a company. If they have something to say about that company then you can belive them as they are not associated with any of these websites. Like for world lotto corporation, there are so many independent websites with the positive reviews. That says it all that it is a legal lottery, and not a scam.

seems they are still at it. Had a call ten mins. ago saying they could provide a the number of a winning ticket??? started to ask for personnal details,when i refused caller hung up

In the past hour I have to received a very similar call to those that have been explained on here. I guessed early on there was something 'fishy' going on, but proceeded with the call untill he asked me for my details. I have rang up the local news paper and they are now inveestigating into this more. I hope something comes out of this, as there are people like my father-in-law that would happily pass his details over.

Thanks for all the comments Guys!  My elderly Step-dad has just given all his details to them so we have warned him off.  Hopefully the bank will sort him out, the only course of action we could advise.  These people are unscrupulous operators who won't take no for an answer, good job he mentioned it to us before it's been too long.

Yep just had a call from an asian woman called "jessica". and got very agitated when i would not give bank card details. Put a "supervisor" on who again attempted to get my card details. I told him what i always do, you havent a hope in Hades of getting my bank card details on a phone call, send me a mail or stick it in the post, I will consider. He then tried to legitimise their credibility, i told him he needs to listen more than he does, he WONT get any card details. Do not give card details out on a cold call folks, its just madness and I wonder how many vulnerable people they have taken for money. Are they legitimate? I dont know nor do I care, I never liked this method of aquiring business as it puts the call receiver in an awlward position. Just say no,no,no, or hang up. if they are legitimate, they can email or post you the offer and let you check them out.

Just had a call from Fred from India said he was from
Group lotto corperation. Wanted me to do 2 lines for 5 weeks.
then want D.O.B. then bank details so I hung up. But he was still
Hanging on to phone for 10mins.  Now he keeps ringing over
And over again. Beware!!!

well it starded for me this week I got a call from someone claiming to be World lotto corporation http://www.worldlottocorporation.com/  I was not with it that day and went for it they wanted my card info email age ect, but I had a think and telling myself this did not sound right and  I blocked my card asap and just in time to they called back saying my card did not work and they wanted another card number I told them I dont have another and since then they have been calling me everyday and being very pushy  even tho I asked them not to call again. There website does not look very good and you can't see the winning balls on tv like you can with Camalot its all recorded on there website.

I WILL USE Camalot when I have some loose change at the local shop

This is a genuine company .I have been playing with them since 2007.I have also got winnings from time to time.This company is based in Europe.This company's phone number worlks from 8 in the morning till 4 PM.
My personal service manager is Dereck.he calls me every friday and let me know about my winnings.

As soon as he said company name I googled it as was sat at my desk and just saw SCAM written all over it! He started trying to read me my postcode and I just said not interested mate and hung up!

Made me chuckle reading the comments from Jassy, Joan, Jude etc. all with the same spelling mistakes!! lol bet they're all from the same IP address also!

i had a phone call on the 9th may 11 from world lotto corparation asking me if i would like 2 have 5 wks worth of euro tickets free to enter there draws for a chance to win 20 million euros the person i spoke to seemed to know my name address including postcode and asked loads of questions about what i would do with the money if i won the person wasnt english spoken and he kept telling me i could play for free then all of a sudden he asked me to verify how my name appeared on my credit card and asked 2 have my card number when i said no way he kept saying we are a legal company and that if they were not my bank would reinburst any money payed out to them it would cost me 30 euros for the 5 wks play and that on my bank statement it would show that the money was payed out to ill f.com and my card details would be deleated straight after and if i wanted to play again after that i had to give my details again when they phoned alarm bells were sounding by now first i was offered 5 wks play for free then them wanting my credit card number then telling me my bank would reinburst me if they were not a proper company i told the guy i would cheak out there company on line and told him to phone me the next day so im hopeing he does so i can tell him were he can shove his lotto tickets as what ive just read on here i know its deffently a scam

This lot seem to be bunch of chancers, got a call from them this afternoon - oh joy, they claim that I have a better chance of winning their lottery - Smell Shite!! to quote a phrase. Anyway having spent a good few minutes listening to this drivel of a sales pitch, in whatever language or accent they claim to be? I would also avoid confirming your DOB as well, assuming they get it right which they don't, but don't give any bank details or credit card details. This joker assuming I understood him right was wanting me to allow them to access my bank or credit card so a small amount could be removed, I have already been told by certain banking institutions that this is how they access accounts and test accessibility - before they empty your account. Whole thing sounds sounds dodgy anyway. I eventually hung up and they called me straight back, so I vented my fury and told them if they called me again I would contact the police. There you go folks a simple solution to these pests, but looks like they have moved North East and are now scamming this area.
