i feel perturbed as i have been charged on my bill for these numbers, & i do not know who the callers of the numbers are. what can i do so as not to incur charges?

Getting these calls in New Zealand as well.

0044 suspicious numbers... Ignore the call .. let it go to answer service.. I have found out it is a scam called Wingari..? or something like that. DO NOT  try to call the number back ... if you do you will be charged the going rate per minute for the call and the scammers collect. It originated in Japan years ago and recently coming from Chad and other countries.

Same here!  In NZ.  No was 0044704823241.  Couldn't understand them and then they asking details about age etc!!! Scam.  Tried to find out who they were but couldn't hear them properly...

I need to know the caller

I'm in Nz too and I get 0044 numbers ringing me everyday sometimes up to 3 times a day I've never spoken to anyone on the other end so now I just ignore the calls.

They do not leave voice messages

I am called three times a week in NZ- the number always different but always starts 0044.  I spoke once to a man with Indian accent wanting me to invest in something - he claimed they are a finance broker wanting to make money for me.  I said I was not interested and he became so insistant that I hung up.  Now I get constant calls that I ignore.  Yesterday I picked it up but no one responded ...and I will again till I can abuse them for harassing me.
