Apparently, an individual claiming to know me, obtained a friend's number, and inquired as to how they knew me. The scary thing was, I have no knowledge of ever knowing this individual, not ever giving out my friend's number. I'm really confused and would like to know how they have access to this information.

It's a scam which I'm trying not to get involved in...

Ive been getting messages from lovemuffin4321, Whoever the hell they are. They will not tell me. It has gotten to the point where they are speaking of my children. How do I find out who this is B4 getting the police involved.

received a text from this number around 11 a.m., it said it was from yahoo! IM (as many of this posts will tell you) and the username attached to it was alexturncotte94. they said "hey let me know when u wake up ok?". i was expecting a call from my friend alex so i thought maybe it was him just texting me from online but i wasn't sure because i didn't understand why he didn't just text from his phone, so i replied "I am awake, who's this?". No answer for 10 mins. i text back "Who's this?" and then instantly got a text "sorry wrong #". Unlike most posts on here I've never used a dating site, i'm single, in my early 20's and broke. Didn't seem like a scam because they didn't phish for info or ask for money. Seems to me this isn't just from one person and some people actually use yahoo! IM to text people, i'm pretty sure google and facebook have a feature like this as well so in my case and probably some others, simply a wrong number. If they do ask you for money or info just be pushy right back to them, then say you called the FBI or Interpol or whatever, i'd say that would get scammers off your back. nothing the phone company can do to help. i have no explanation for those of you who received texts about a spouse/bf/gf having cheated or what have you. If those texts were only meant to cause a rift in a relationship and not to extort you, that's just downright weird. hope i helped.

That conita Smith is doing the same as well too. I lost about $2200 from her. She has been stuck in Lond. Now she wnat me to sned money to a lawyer in Nigeria. I have writen a police report on her. She will be hearing from the F.B.I. here. Also, I sugest to everone. Talk to the police an report this girl. I will be trying to find ways on how to bring her to justice.

I received texts regarding a craigslist transaction from an individual from this number and with the name monicacynthia_lagaaaaa.  DON'T TRUST THIS PERSON!!!

I got three texts in a row asking about dominique co. with a question mark.  Have no idea who this might be.

I just got an email from 'her' requesting my address so she can buy my fridge off of Craigslist.  I had a feeling, but your note confirms it.  Thanks!!!

As Jonita would write Wow, yeah - why would you try to help someone you dont even know when there are so many of your present neighbors need help.  Serves all you men good, I dont feel sorry for any of you.   My boyfriend made contact with her also and send money.  I am gorgeous size 4, I also have money but I would never him know how much.  Why did you choose to send her money,  "my my what tangle web we weave when we are out to deceive"  I bet you had a girlfriend while you were doing this..  again as Jonita would say "Huh".  Ask me how I know what she would say.............

I'm getting the same requests from a Lauren Bischoff. I can trade pics to check if you want. She quit using Facebook.

Meet her on a dating site, sounded sweet and had told me more or less after a week of texting she claims she lived in Iowa but stranded in Cambodia. She need $ to get her belongings home and her. I fell for it and sent $s. Then she lost her wallet and need more  $. Being a dumb ass I sent more $. Then she hit me with the Big one, had 10.5m in a trunk in London and if I sent more $ to get it out of storage it would be on a plane to my house (address given). As it was going thru customs the trunk was scan and was seen that it had 10.5m. Of course, that trunk was now being held until $250,000 was paid or it would be conflicated. 250,000 was too much for my pocket even though 10.5m sounded good. I took a lost on some $ but watch out guys, a sweet talker!

She will scam the crap outta you. she took 2500 but i got 289 back cuz the second money transfer for her "shipper dying in the hospital" for doctor JOHN GASKINS to perform the operation i replied F*** You instead of giving her the mtcn number. So I ordered a refund for free. She still has 1800 but im trying to get gmail to allow me to see her original ip address. The police will do it if i cant. Im gonna F*** her A** up bad.

get over it....this is all a scam and you are wondering...get a clue .....you have no friend so what do you care how they got the number.   Knowledge is power and the scammers have knowledge....that is why you guys are all losing...then you sound a like a whimp...just like your statement...I dont know how they got my friends info....boo
