This bunch keep calling me asking for Steven Wiseman I carnt get through to them they dont understand its not me and they have the wrong phone No. its been going on for weeks now & iam starting to loose my patience. OFCOM is my next move.

Keep getting calls for a Matthew 4 times so far today even after telling them to delete our number from their database

The number 01159081162 calls repeatedly to my home sometimes 2+ imes in 15 minutes. The calls can be slightly worrying since no one answers when anyone picks up and a noise that sounds like breathing can be heard at the other side.

Nuisance call, they ring several times a day, usually no one speaks on one occassion asked for someone who is not known here

Been having 5 or 6 calls a day from these people asking for a particular person who I don't know. I tell them I don't know him and they say they will remove my number and then phone back ten mins later. Sounds like a few different people. Now I have just had an automated call from DRB or DRS something like that, who have previously left messages to ring them back, I hadn't put the two together until now. 01159081162 is the number of the personal calls 01616640025 is the number of the automated.

I own a Panasonic phone which allows me to block some numbers for free, which is very helpful as I can't afford the monthly fee. For these worms, the phone rings but I do not hear it, however I can see in the call list that so far today this company have called me 9 times - and it is only 3:30pm! I have already told them that I am the householder and owner of the number and that the person they want (a family member) hasn't lived here for a number of years.

I was informed that because I couldn't give details of the current addresses for either of them - which I genuinely don't know -and that mine was the number he and his ex-girlfriend had used on their forms they will not remove it from their system until one of them tells them to.

Any suggestions?

Two people have called from this number today asking for 'Nora' - I don't know anybody called Nora! When I queried the call first time around, the man hung up. Second time it was a lady caller (not an English accent in either instance) and she then asked me how long I had been using the number; bit of a cheek really. However, I obliged and said "over thirty years". I then asked which company SHE was representing but didn't receive a straight answer; she just said she was trying to make a private business call to Nora - and then hung up!!! Anybody any idea who is calling?? I am registered with the T.P.S. (and am ex-directory) so shouldn't be receiving ANY calls of this kind - aargh!

You can ring any number you want, you can complain to anyone you want but the only way to stop tossers like this is to invest in something like the Truecall unit.

I have never had a loan, lived at my home for 38 years and also a member of TPS and Ex Directory. How do these Luddite think that they can get away with it harassing people  I recognise the number and just do not answer, but yes its OFTEL  next.

We've been pestered from this number for weeks. Like everyone here we have never had a loan. The calls came to my son's mobile (aged 12) and I thought they were a genuine mistake. Phoned to tell them from the landline that there was no "Mrs Adams" on the number they have been ringing. I never gave his full phone number or name  just the last two digits. Realised quickly something was wrong when there was no apology, did not seem worried that they were harassing a minor (child abuse?), they would not listen, would not look her up and got aggressive. I rang off. We looked up the number and found this site.

The calls stopped to his mobile but then after a couple of weeks they've started on the landline - 4 today. We've ignored, told them off, got angry etc

Quite clearly given the posts here they phone the same number over and over again. They ignore requests to take the number off the database. So if it's a scam what's the pay off? Anyone followed it through - are they phising for details they can use illegally? Are they trying to scare you into paying a non-existant debt? If you phone back is it a premium rate line (masquerading as a genuine 0115)?

Must hold my temper next time and try to lead them on like Bob Sergeant or these wonderful people who take on scammers http://www.ebolamonkeyman.com/index.html.

Over the last few days we have received a number of calls leaving messages on answer machine while we have been at work.
Being off work today as its the weekend I have received two calls and its still only 11 am. I have told people on the line that they have the wrong number and I didn't known person they were asking for.
Told them to remove our number from there records or I will report them to OFCOM and the OFT. will see if this works.

I've had 5 or 6 calls from them in the last few days.  They keep asking for Lee and  I say nobody called Lee  lives here but they keep phoning!

Ive been getting 7 to 8 calls everyday from these people asking for Kelly - Ive lived in my house since it was built so unless she is living in my cupboard under the stairs then these are scam calls or there are lots of people giving out false phone numbers.
After hundreds of calls and requests to remove my number I have finally managed to speak to an 'English' speaking person who has promised that my number has now been removed - We will see.

All these calls come from debt collecting call centres. They get paid by the number of calls made.When you take out a loan you provide a home phone number and a mobile number,and your work number.If you are late with your payment the harassment starts. For example, if you are paid at midnight(pm) on the date of payment by your employer but they try to take their money at 0800 on that day and cannot the calls start.The text messages start. They also often try to take money before the pay date you have told them .Almost all these companies are USA based. Portland , Oregon and Main are two big ones.Often you cannot call on the number you received their call on, its out-going only.If you genuinely have no business with the company, report it to OFCOM immediately. Don't bother calling, dont ask for your number to be removed, just log the number of calls over seven days and report it. Good luck all! Rob.

I get calls all the time from PPI and debt companies all the time. It is so annoying and I though the Government were suppose to be doing something about it. All they are interested in is to increase taxes and keep the rich getting richer. I have used express finance from http://same-dayloans.com/express-finance-payday-loans/ and not had a problem. The only thing that concerns me is that how are people getting my details to call me?

Fed up of getting these calls ringing up to 5 times a day what can be done to stop them
