Who is this, thought the worst calling at this time 1.48am

1.57am and I also did not get the chance to answer,but after reading the on here I am thinking another scam  is looming.I for one will not be returning there call...

2:15 am. Same crap. I could strangle these gits. Like someone said earlier, getting a call at this time in the morning is usually bad news. Not that it matters to these idiots.

Just got wakened at 3.07. Rang 3 times and then stopped. Very distressing to be called at this time.

i had a call from this number what a plonker tried to call back
it was a recorded voice mail,
sad gits want to get a life and go to bed like us

The number belongs to Magrathea Telecommunications.

Its a VoIP number.

My guess is the MT users account has been hacked and is been used to randomly call people to check:
- if they pickup (useful for future targeted scam)
- Ascertain if its a fax line to send junk faxes
- Simply to run up a bill for their hacked account owner

Any other suggestions?

3.30 am just received a call from this number.

Just had the same call at 3:40am, 7th March 2012. Thought it was a family emergency so got a bit worried. Stopped ringing before I could answer.

I just got a call too. Before I could answer it stopped. I didn't call the number back but Googled it instead... Only to see I'm not the only one who's sleep is being disturbed! I'm wide awake now!

Just got a call from this number, 3-30AM, NOW WIDE AWAKE, THANKS,!

Called me at 03.55. Hung up as soon as I answered.

GRRRR...like everyone else just been woken up by this number at 04.30hrs and thought it was a family emergency...googled number and saw these posts. Thanks for putting them on here otherwise would have worried all day

I too just had a call 04.58am!! have read all the previous posts, went to answer it as thought it was an emergency. i am now wide awake, makes you mad, some people are so sick!! so thanks people for putting my mind at rest. might as well make myself a cuppa now coz not gonna be able to go back to sleep GRRRRRRR

Got a call from this number at 23.01 on 6/3/2012.
Only Rang 3 times but didn't answer - Woke me up.

05.12am  landline number just rang a couple of times then stopped b4 i got to it. This has happened several times lately. Apparently it is known who this number belongs to and the problem is being looked into. It appears that the number has been 'hijacked' from a company and being used by somebody abroad?? If this is right surely this number could of bein blocked or cut off as soon as the problem was found out.?? How many more people have to be woken/scared/frightened before something is done about it??

Woken at 5:45 by call from this number. Most annoyed.

had a call from them at 1.30 this morning, when i rang back (at 6 to wake them up) there was a message saying that the number had been spoofed and was being used by a foreign company, they apologised for any calls received. they said to either email or phone their mobiles which i obviously didnt. they said their telephone provider was looking into this
