Call received from this number 29/11/12 at 17.24. There was quite a long pause when I lifted the receiver, then automated message saying I had not yet applied for the refund I was due (I am NOT due any refund); press 5 to speak to an adviser, 9 if call received in error. This appears to be from the same source as 01214690008. I reported to the Information Commissioner's Office. They impose huge fines on people like this :-)

Called by this number yesterday, they hung up when my husband asked who they were.

got a call from this number today - recorded message 'urgent reminder about my refund' - hung up at that point! such a nuisance.

Had 2 calls from this number and then the phone slammed down on me,they are bloody rude and need to be stopped.

Received call today saying this was my last day to claim the refund - I no of no refund.
Cannot understand what they hope to get from the call and hope I am not a victim of a scam like the 'Belize Premium Rate Calls'.

I heard of a scam that was used some time ago that encouraged recipients of a call to dial 9.  This apparently resulted in a charge on the phone bill of something like £240.  At that time ( a few years ago) BT could do nothing about it.  So a word of advice -  do not under any circumstances dial any number from a third party.  The instance above related to acceptance of a holiday that had been won by the recipient even though no competition had been entered so to get your free holiday all you had to do was dial 9.

Silent call. On calling aback a system announcement which said that this number has not been allocated to a customer. From reading other comments on here

A pre-recorded message saying if I didn't act now, my claim would be reduced.  Didn't catch whether it was PPI or Tax, but either way I don't trust pre-recorded messages full stop.  Wanted me to press '5' to get to an operator and start the procedure.  Figured it might be one of those scams you hear about where it costs you a million quid a minute, and it goes into their pockets.  Hung up immediately.

Just as above: Some message which I didn't hear the beginning but some sort of refund due to me. And threatening something if "activation" wasn't done. Activation of what?

Called while we were out and left a recorded message on our answering machine. PPI claim.

The recording asks me to press 5 for ?? or 9 to unsubscribe.....interesting as they say its about my 'refund'!

Caller left noisy/static message on my answerphone. Totally unintelligible. Blocked it!

As others have mentioned, caller stated that I have not applied for my refund.  Did not say what the refund was for or who was calling.

04/12/2012 11:19 pre recorded message female American accent saying to urgently claim a refund due, told it/her to F*** O** and replaced receiver.  News for you lady - I never had PPI insurance nor am I due any other kind of refund.  Also agree with Geoff commenting above on 29/11/12 - maybe these sites are set up to attract attention for advertising purposes.  More news for you guys - stick your advertising - I don't succumb! but I do use this site to vent my anger.  Oh yes - the number is UK based? - rang it back and pre recorded message said already in use for a customer???????  Insurance fraud line informed.
