Got a call from this number today. Opened the answering machine but they left no message.

The recorded message said ' You have failed to apply for your refund, failure to apply will mean a loss of refund. Press 5 to speak to an advisor or press 9 to unsubscribe.' Or something along those lines anyway. It's so annoying getting calls like this. Wish there was something we could actually do about it.

A pre recorded msg about my loan. I've never had a loan. PLease leave me alone.

Call a few minutes ago, same as other have mentioned. I have a Panasonic phone which can block up to 30 numbers so this will be one of them!

as everyone has already said...a recorded message to which I didn't listen but hung up immediately. Later dialled 0471 and got the number 0121 4690035.

Received today.  Silent call .

Good on you for reporting them - everyone should do this AND write to your local MP (they do actually respond)

There is something you can do.  Report all unsolicited pre recoded and silent calls and texts to The Information Commissioner's Office.  Its easy to do on the ICO website and they recently fined two men £400,000 for sending this type of message.  They are also prosecuting a car hire company which has ben selling the details of people who have needed a hire car after an accident.

Had call at 1.44pm on 7.12.12 . Heard a male voice just start to speak, about one syllable, then line went silent.  Used 1471 to identify number of caller - 01214 690 035.

Someone tried to call us from the above number ana I do not know who it is--I do not recognise the number at all.

I was called today saying I had to put in my claim today or I would lose it. I have nothing on which to claim. They asked for me to key something to 'stop' but I didn't do it because I didn't want them to know this was a genuine number.

Phone call at 9.53. Have stopped answering the phone because of this type of call and do 1471. We are ex-directory and TPS registered and they are plaguing us at the moment so will also report to ICO.

Non stop calls from these , i don"t pick-up , but so annoying when i have said i am not interested , at least 30 times !!!

It doesn't matter that you're ex-directory. They work their way through every sequence of numbers, including Buckingham Place, I suppose!

Same problem,.  False PPI refund

Had several of these recorded message calls from 01214690035 over past couple weeks. Saying urgent message as time running out to claim overpayment from pension. Press 5 to claim or 9 to unsubscribe! Yeah right! Sure Department of Pensions going to ring me and TELL me they owe ME money! I think not! Press 5 or 9 and I guarantee you will end up out of pocket! I am registered with TPS but still get loads of overseas calls too.
