third call today this one at 21.00,  mutterered something about research and two questions I said not to call me again as this is the fifth call this week.  I thought there were rules about what time these calls could be made.

Silly me I don't think they understand English.

Rang twice picked up phone nobody there, have barred number

I regularly got calls from this number during the past weeks. Two times I happened to have a little time and tried a little chat.
Claiming to be from the Windows Service Department (never heard of such a thing) they wanted me to turn on my computer as they had received information that I had sent messages from a piece of malware. When I told them that I did not use Windows at all, but only Macintoshes they suddenly "happened" to be from Apple. I asked them which IP-Address they got and how they traced it to my computer, no answer. Somebody even got me to talk to a "superior", same story.
They would not listen to me, would not answer any questions and they would not make any sense. I guess they wanted me to download a piece of malware of theirs, but of course I would never get that far.

this number has been calling my number regularly since 2008....lowlifes I havent got a computer in the house so how could they trace it. I asked them to remove my number and then I got sum nasty foul language for asking. They still call, I dont bother picking up the phone now all calls go to answermachine.

had a call from 01234567891 claiming to be from the Windows Server department and claimed my warranty had expired today!  I said the computer is at least 12 years old and he said if I bought the warranty today, I would be covered for the next 10years.  I said I was looking to buy a new computer in the next week and he said a new one would cost me £300+ , I carried on talking to him..................playing him at his own game - and he then said a new computer would cost me £600+, I quickly told him it was the scams that are going round, politely said goodbye....................and he put phone down on me!

I keep get in the calls who is it?

whenever I receive a phone call from scams etc., most of the time, they ask me how I am today Mr B... I then go on to say, well at the moment  I have a splitting headache, a ringing in my ears and to top it all, I have just lost a cap off my tooth so that is more expense, I am also suffering from arthritis as its very damp here today, but its very kind of you to ask me, and then I hang up.

Called by this number at 5:29.   There was no one there, then it said "Goodbye"

Had ths call twice yesterday and three times an hour this afternoon. caught the 3rd call but talked the caller down until ' he' hung up. Have not a clue what it is about. Most irritating.

Sitting near the phone waiting for a returned call, re: a serious medical matter, this number rang in. Being anxious I grabbed the handset to be greeted with some attempt at unsolicited sales like talk so I slammed the phone down. These calls can be more than a nuisance they could obstruct critical and genuine calls. Why can't they be stopped ?

I've been recieving calls from this number for a matter of several weeks now. sometimes 3 calls a day. I only answer my landline If I  am expecting a call and never if I am not expecting a call, all because I am sick and tired of wasting my time talking to people that are not invited to use my line and who do so just to try and get custom! So for the last few years I always let the call ring off and then I check 1471.
Today I was out and my son, who was visiting, answered the phone in my absence.
When I returned he told me that he had taken a call from a guy that spoke with an asian accent. He said he was calling from Microsoft and was he-my son-able to switch on the pc because they had idenified a problem with some files on it! My son told them no, it was his mum's computer and that she was out. He was then asked "How old are you? Can you possibley switch on computer?" My son replied that he was 35 years old and although quite capable of putting the computer on, would never do so without me being present. The guy then asked 'What time your mother be back?" At this point my son just told him to call back this evening.
We both then went out and have just returned home for my husband to tell us that someone rang at about 6.30pm and asked for me by name and said that he was calling from Microsoft. My husband-who does NOT 'do' computers, suggested he called back another time when I was home.
Has anyone else had a call from anyone saying that they are from Microsoft?

This one has even called our call centre. There seems to have been a glut of these starting MOnday this week.

As mentioned before the phone companies should be held accountable for this nuisance. They are profiting from the calls as well.

i am recieving phone calls from this telephone no.01234567890.it is a computer fraud call i  realized this and told them to go away in no uncertain terms they now phone me every 5 minutes and verbaly abuse me.

Just got a call from this number about 10 minutes ago (3:00am PST) and they just rang twice and when answered it was dead air. Thank you to all the people who posted abou this number being a possible overseas scam. It more than likely is a scam. Scared the [***] out of me to get a hang up call at 3am!
