Called but hung up when i answered

Had a call on my mobile from Charlene, talked so fast and so pushy could hardly hear her said that the call centre was manic. Also had a call from Jamie these people are very pushy. I unfortunatly gave them my details my card was also Barclays. Please dont give them any details.

They called me just now, hung up as soon as I answered.

This number called my 11 year old daughter's phone - she did not recognise the number so did not answer as she has been told to do.

Had a call from company called greenacre equities ltd saying that they are government company acting to refund ppi which is being forced to you at the times of loans & mortgages .They took the details & debit card number saying that the money will be credited to the account directly.
but please don't be fooled by these fraudsters.

Had a missed call several minutes ago, glad i found this site, i always end up being talked into things i dont want to do....well not this time if they ring back

I too just had a call from Terri, female, on this number. Will check what STD code 01253 covers and contact the police in that area. I got as far as giving my name and full address but refused to give them any card numbers, as I said to her; surely if you are calling me you already know that information! I hope they google themselves and read this!! I will report further after I call the police. maybe Ann Robinson on Watch dog should see this one!!

i recieved a call but missed it, i then called back and a lady answered saying she was from GreenAcres. I teh nasked who she was because i miseed a call and she hung up..

This is a scam!! I am offering anyone a high reward if they can get me any further information on this company or any names.  This company needs to be taken down.  They are scum and if we had the death penalty in place they should get it.  It appears to be a call centre full of english female staff.  anyone with any info please contact me. they cannot get away with this.

spread the word - tell the press, consumer direct, OFT - everyone. find them and bring them down.

Just had a missed call from this number on my mobile. I used to be on T Mobile but transferred my mobile number to Vodafone.

I googled the number and found this site. I can now save the number on my mobile under "Scammer"

I am sorry to read that some people have been caught out by this scam and I hope that they get full refunds.

I am grateful that people have taken the time and trouble to write about their experiences and warn others who might otherwise get ripped off by these scammers. Thank you, for I do appreciate it very much.

I have just recieved a call from these people who say they are from Greenacre Equities and said i could claim back 12 years worth of miss sold insurance. he gave me a website address of Companyhouse.co.uk and a number 5601260 saying they are repituble people. Phone call seamed very unprofessional and just wanted to have my details. When they asked for my card details i declined imediately and they were very good at trying to convince me to give them, i still said no and they said they would call me back tomorrow after i have checked the website.

Had a call today saying I was owed back some insurance in the amount of £60, if I could give them my card details they would refund it back onto my card.  My mum rang them back to enquire who the company was and it was someone called Greenacre and said they take card details upfront and then if get any PPI refunded from credit cards, mortgate etc they refund onto card.  When she said I didn't have any of these and should not be asking for bank details they said I should have stated this at the beginning, apologised and hung up!!

I received a call from Greenacre this morning.  Same thing, when you answer they hang up.  I think it's about time the companies selling our personal data to fraudsters like Greenacre should take some responsibility.  Personal data should remain private!

I got a call today on this number, but did not answer as only a very few people have my cell phone no. and I did not recognise it.

they called me i stupidly gave my details and address..they tried to take out money but was declined because i ha\d innsufiecent funds....im scared...what will they do with my details...i have cancelled my card anyway. but im still very scared...how do i report these peole. they are evil.

its a scam.. they just rang me and have rang my friends mobile too asking for bank details!!!!
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!!!!!!

Spoke to one person who then passed onto verification (Shaun) who told her he was going to give her £60 and only needed to confirm nos on the back of her card????

Any she did!! Then with in seconds realised her error and demanded the payment to stop.
On checking the bank it had already gone out (the bank cancelled card and are looking into the payment)
She called Greenacre back and spoke to a manager Katie, who advised if shaun had said what he had said then he could be sacked, My girlfriend said, SO lol (i liked that, they advised that all has been stopped. (we wait)

I called them too, and spoke to Chelsea who advised me to call cust service ? 01253 749233 ( rang and rang)
I called the 01253 757064 spoke to Tania Mcbroom who was actually very helpful and she advised all had been stopped and the payment should not come out at all. (it has) I advised this is all looking like a scam she replied with its not. I advised even if its not we still demand our money back and info in writing about it all. (this is being sent and i will update if i get it)

Something is definately wrong!! Even if its the guys/girls calling trying so hard to make a sale they are saying anything to get that £59 its causing this, it needs full investigation.

They give out info like a comp nos 05601260 which you can get free from anywhere there is no back up to what they are saying.

Anyway there is some info lol, i'll get back to work now.

The company called Greenacres just called me on my mobile, and when I asked where they got my number from, they said the Directory, which is bull as it is ex-directory and only family and friends have the number.  When I told him this he got stroppy!
