thanks guys I got the same Text from C.A.R.S  I have never been toa fitness place in my life.

I have just recieved a txt msg asking me to contact Lucy Palmer URGENTLY. Given a phone number and refrence number. looking up the phone number i found C.A.R.S are a debt collection agency, not with the best of reputations.

Same lucy palmer!!! Y are they allowed to do this??

I have cancelled my membership with Fitness First. They not accept my cancellation, so I stopped the direct debit.
Now call from C.A.R.S with text message saying contact urgently Miss Lucy Palmer

Got a message to call Lucy Parker.

Going by other's suggestions it could be due to the fact I had a Lovefilm account, which was paid in full and cancelled approx. 2 years ago.

I'll be following Leah's advice and giving them no information - great, useful comment as I wouldn't have known any of these regulations before seeing it.

they keep ringing but i dont pick up, then they send texts, now they sending letters with county court judgment & threating to ruin the credit score. can they do this???

Got a txt earlier stating CARS as the sender, asking to ring this Lucy Palmer, I'm a member of another gym and nearest i've been to fitness first is to deliver letters, I have an account with lovefilm but dont owe them any money and I have fantastic credit n certainly no debts outstanding atm, i was considering asking to change my number cos seem to get a lot of spam dispite being reg with tps.

Yea I just woke uo to a text saying could I ring Lucy on that number blah blah I had a lovefilm account but only did the 2month trial so unless they tried to take money which I never allowed... I'll see how it goes, glad I stumbled across this site

They are trying to chase up money for outstanding Gym memberships......I told them to Jog on !!!

I was a member in fitness first and I gave them one moneth notice on 6th of April so i kepy going to gym and then because they take money at the beginning of each month I cancelled my direct debit bby 1st of May and never stepped to that gym again. Then because I moved out they could not find me but apparently someone gave the CARS my new address which I don't understand how they could find and who gave them this address??
So I would like to ask if I had done something wrong, maybe I should've kept the memebership and cancell the direct debit in June instead? But I wasn't using any services in May anymore so they can still ask for the money? Please if someone could help me what to do because I'm getting little bit worried about the CARS company for how long they will keep sending letters and if the amount will increase.

Same here - Lucy Palmer on this number wants me to contact her too.  I have cancelled a gym membership and Lovefilm membership recently.  Who knows....and who cares.  I haven't breached any terms so am just going to delete and move on.
