I too have recieved a text just this morning from C.A.R.S asking to call a Mr Robert Parker as a matter of urgency...

Due to my unforseen circumstances with income I had no choice but to try and cancel my Fitness First Account. As it happens I decided to offer a gesture of goodwill payment of £2 a month as this was all i could afford, of which I never recived any reponse to...

That was 6 months ago.

I havent heard anything from anybody until now, from what I understand, If you make a goodwill gesture payment offer and hear nothing from the creditor/company, especially after  6months, surely they cant start to harass you again?

I have just received a text from these people asking me to ring them urgently! I came straight on here to check them out! I have never been to a Fitness First Gym so not even going to bother ringing them.

Ive litteraly just had a txt saying urgently contact Lucy Palmer 01256 306797 i would now believe this is to do with fitness first thatnks for the heads up guys

Tried to call just to wind them up but all I got was an answer message, will keep on trying and post up any info found.

after reading the forums I think in my case the only possible organization is TISCALI! i had a contract with them that I canceled a few months ago and also canceled my direct debit. but i never received any letter or anything!

should i just ignore it? wait for a letter? then what? can they poop on my credit rating?

Just got this message today and thought it was a little suspect so did a google search for Lucy Palmer and the phone number given. Lo and behold i find this site and confirm my suspicions, thx for info guys saved me wasting my time calling them up. I can only think they got my mobile number from LOVEfilm who i canceled my account with 2 months ago, i'll be ignoring any future attempts they make to contact me. :)

yep i got the lucy palmer 1 and also cancelled lovefilm 2 months ago its clearly not just them but little internet tea leaves trying to rob us, the caller id was just a dash how weird i say any1 who knows a hacker sud all unite as 1 and [***] these fraudsters up once and for all

Have just received a text message from an unknown sender saying to call Lucy Palmer as a matter of urgency on 01256 306797 with a number to quote. Having read all comments on here about this same issue, I have no debts, no membership to any of the mentioned clubs, no insurance and this message actually asks for someone else, a man, when it's my number. So....why is this number not already barred ????

Just got the same message as everyone on this thread.  Miss Palmer is a busy lady: they quoted my full name and even gave a reference number.  They are getting sneaky.

Definitely not calling now I have read this and to boot I am too lazy to ever consider any kind of gym membership so I am not worried this could be real!  Post 30 you have to learn to love the sag... :)

Fitness first are terrible, i broke my arm and my local gym froze my membersdhip for 2 months, what they failed to tell was that in doing this in would have to add an extra 2months on to my contract so when i went in to give my 1 months notice for December they told me i am now in contract until February!!! I have cancelled the direct debit with the bank, no one has called me but now i get this message!

Fitness first are a joke and thanks to all the info on this page i will not be contacting this Lucy palmer woman, i shall wait for them to contact me and bring on the dispute!!

I just received the same text message as you guys to contact LUCKY PALMER urgently.I had a 3 month contract with FITNESS FIRST which Ive never used that coz I was very ill to be able to go to gym. I paid one month deposit which was not given back to me, and I was told it will be taken as last month payment I said ok. But still this people asking for more moneyyyyyyy. I will not respond them at all

Oh my!!! I just googled this number and thought i would check out who this Robert Parker was texting me as a matter of urgency!!! I was panicked because i got myself into a bit of debt a few years ago, but sorted it all out....havent been able to sleep thinking i miseed one somehow!!!
I am sooooo glad i came on here! You lot have all put my mind at ease now!!!!

I got a text from Lucy Palmer asking to call immediatly. i instantly deleted it assuming it was a scam.

Having read up on it. i'm glad i did delete it :)

I just received a text from Lucy Palmer. I don't have any outstanding debts. Not used LoveFilm or Fitness First, but I shan't be calling back! Thanks for the info
