Recieved a text from " Lucy Palmer " this morning to contact her on 01256 306797 quoting ref....

Reading through this thread I have no idea what its about, I have never been a member of a gym as im disabled, I am not a member of love film... I have no idea what it is.

So if i get another I will make an official complaint to the financial ombudsman.

just had a text message - from a lucy palmer but with no phone number/ id details to the text, i have a lovefilm account so i presume the 'urgent' text is about that, i have sent a text to the land line informing them that i will report them to ofcom if they contact me again

I just received at text from them saying "Could ****** ****** please call Lucy Palmer URGENTLY on 01256306797 Quoting Ref No 2947133"

I have a love film account so I guess this is what it is about?

I have also received a text message from Lucy Palmer asking me to call urgently, having read the comments I know it must be fitness first trying to get the last 2 months gym membership out of me. I left because I moved due to work & my nearest fitness first was miles away. I don't see why I should pay for a service I am unable to use & it is about time companies realised this. I will be changing my number so I do get harrassed by cowboys anymore.

i got the message yesterday they ask for my as Name address and dob i was expacting a call for sort out something after reding all comments im bit what going to happen now. can any one advice what to do now...

Fitness First to have dodgy practices too. I'd definitely advised people to think twice before joining their gym. CARS make good partners for them!! Just as dodgy.

I have just recieved a text asking me to contact Mr Robert Parker URGENTLY ,on reading this site I now know it to be from CARS who were trying to get money out of me about 2 yrs ago when a car insurance firm auto-renewed my car insurance when i had already sold the car & was out of the country for three mthsmaybe the car ins firm should have waited for me to say yes and not just auto-renewed because I couldn,t say no due to not being here SCREW EM !!!!!

yep i just had the same...lucy palmer....i deleted it.
i dont belong to ff or lf so they must be doing something else now.

Same for me they ask for my details and when i said i will not say anything . They just stopthe conversation.

fitness first have been trying to contact me even tho i've paid everythin. I can't even leave or freeze but i've been in an out of hospital for months so i haven't even been there. Con artists i tell you!

This Lucy must be a busy girl. Chasing me for a debt I dont even have. lol.She can whistle Dixie.

yep this is cars. As well as the others mentioned they are chasing debts on behalf of First credit/Connaught Collections. Avoid these low lifes at all costs!!

Mine wasn't fitness related. Virgin mobile also use cars "collection agency recovery service " i have an outstanding bill oops!

recieved a text message with a ref number saying contact a sally palmer urgently and from rweding these im glad i never. would really like to know who and what they are and how they get your number?????

Just received the same message about calling a "Lucy Palmer" "urgently".  After googling the number i came across this site and THANK GOD I did!!!  I spoke to a very rude agent who point blank refused to give me any of my details or explain to me why they were sending me such mysterious text messages.  I find this disgusting that a company could use these sorts of methods to try and get someone's details.  If this was a reputable company they would have done the decent thing and sent a letter.  Shocking!!!

i'm 16 and i joined fitness first womens gym... i paid februarys and marchs fee and i got a text this morning asking me to call lucy palmer on 01256306797 and a reference number... i am very scared incase they are trying to scam me so i'm getting my mum involved and the police!
