This number just rang when i was in the shower, i went and told my dad and he didnt recognise the area code. I then looked on google to see if it could tell me what it was and it came up with this website and many more. How have they got my number???? The only place they can get it off is facebook however, i dont have it on there .. its there so i can recieve sms texts when people comment on my status an there is no way they can get hold of it. It's so annoying aswell because they could pass it on. If anyone finds out who it was, reply to my comment cause i will be checking :/ ah!

I had a missed call from this no, i didnt recognise it so i decided to call it back when i was in work and im not paying for the call and the no is withheld, got no answer and strange ringtone.

Just the same missed a call from this number, checked and is from Alloa.

Had a missed call, rang it back from witheld number - was answered after many rings.
Advised that they are "Consumer Credit Services" based in south Wales.  She had no idea where my number would have been obtained from, only that her job is to answer incoming calls and make outgoing ones.

ive also just had a phone call from this number - who is it???

had a call from this number and i missed it a little worried as my friend prank called 118 today so i thiught it had traced them back and got my number but after reading these comments i think that it is ok ... is it? ...

Had a call from 01259 300001, chap called Liam Bennett, claiming to work for consumer credit services www.c-c-s.co.uk - they were very convincing, said the chances of having my credit card debt written off was good. They went through the process got my name, add & date of birth but then went on to take my credit card details. I refused, said i would call them back after ive checked out their website. I called the number on their website 0844 384 3168 (from private) to enquire on their services and they wouldnt really give me any real answers, the chap said he would get someone to call me back as i wanted to complain, he wanted my name and number but i refused, he was huffing and puffing! I said i would consult companies house and get the directors address and write a letter of complaint if no one was available to talk to me. He didnt know what to do and put me on hold. Ive cut the call and have reported the site as scam.

just got a call from this number 5 mins ago. answered it as i was waiting for a friend to phone, when i got no response when i said hello, i checked number on phone and automatically came to this site, which i always do when i get calls from numbers that i dont know. going to be very careful now about who i give my number to in future.

It would seem that O2 are selling our numbers on to data companies. I've just spoken to a very helpful person on 01259 300001 who informed me they obtained my number from a company called DLG.

am suspicious of calls i do not recognise and this has just confirmed my suspicion

I've only been called once from this number about 10minutes ago. I didn't answer, but I rang back with a private number and someone picked up and spoke to me. I said I would be reporting them to offcom if the calls keep coming (I made out they call all the time after reading these posts) and she was very apologetic and even told me how I could stop sales calls by searching it on google.

i got a call from 01259300001 when i get missed calls from companies it really annoys me i could scream ever time i get a call from stupid companies and door sales.
