Got a call from this number today. I said hello several times, no answer. Decided to just keep the call on without saying anything and put it on speakerphone. Eventually someone said hello and that they were calling from something like Consumer Credit Direct. When they asked how I was I said that the call was costing me alot of money because I was abroad. They hung up straight away.

Just got a call from this number. I said 'Hello' several times, didn't get a response, then they hung up.

Given that there have been 9 reports of calls from this number on this page in the last 24 hours alone, and that the majority of people affected probably won't bother googling the number, finding this page and commenting, I am guessing that these jerks are using an automated dialing machine to find scam victims. Don't have evidence for this beyond all the comments on this page, but the advice must surely be: DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK.

Just had a call from this number, but i am at work, so didn't have the chance to answer, but basecd on the evidence here, i dont think i will call back! thanks!

Missed call, no message. Googled the number, found this site. Done.

Jush had a phone call from this number, whe answering the phone i never say hello until they do when i dont recognise a number!! after about 10 seconds they hung up!!!

Received a call from this number. Man was very rude. He said he was from O2 (my network) and that he wanted to talk about contracts... He wanted to know if i was interested in a new contract, but when i said that i wasnt at the end of my old one he said 'well when does it run out?' I said 'Im not certain when it runs out" (im not!!!) Then I said if you're from O2 you can tell me. He badgered me to order a new contract which I refused. He then swore at me down the phone.
Idiots! they are on my block list and reported!!!
Think they have all the phone company records....

I had a call from this number, didn't recognise the number so I didn't pick up, never bother calling numbers that don't leave a message. Then i googled it and came across this.

Called me at work. I said my number was registered with the TPS and asked how they got it, he said mobiles were not covered by the TPS - which is a lie.

Missed call 12/07/2010 @ 18.07 hrs.

I am near the 24 month mark since I got the number (Vodafone contract). Got pestered for insurance when I got the SIM (some dodgy outfit operating out of Cardiff) so could be the same lot under a different guise.

I imagine the CLI is spoofed.

Got this call and they stayed on for a couple of seconds breathing down the phone then they hung up!
I didn't call it back, i didn't recognize the number. I looked it up and it put me on to this website. Same Number!!

I just had 3 missed calls from this number. On the 4th I picked up and was cut off. Thankfully I didn't phone them back. I have blocked the number from my phone now after reading other peoples comments.

Just had this call too, had it at least 15 times over last couple of months, i always reject it - but they are persistent!

I had a call from this number who claimed that somebody had taken out credit without my consent.  They said they had had my mobile number for 10 years, which is interesting, because I am on Pay as You Go and have had this number for only 3 years/

Do not answer.....typical scam! Time wasting and useless....dont get sucked in!

Had 2 missed calls from these guys, after reading all of this will definatly not answer if the call again.

Had a call toay from the 00001 number.....no idea who it was...before i found this site re-called the number got some lady saying 'transfering your call'..then just rang...

Today I got a call from this number...man at the end of the line was persistant I talk to him about my credit cards and bank accounts...I told him I was going to hang up as I am not interested, he TOLD me not to hang up and when I asked him..."do you know my name? Do you even know who you are speaking to" he said, "its obvious you dont want to speak to me" I said "what did I say in the first place???" Then he hung up ---  DUH!!!!!..

What is being done about callers like these ????

Had a call from these clowns about 5 mins ago, they didn't leave a msg. Called back straight away and they didn't answer
