I keep getting calls from this group even though I am TPS

Had calls from this number, latest today.  They never leave a message so I ignore.  Getting to be a nuisance though.  I am registered with TPS, so will report to them.

As the company claim they are doing surveys, they can get away with the TPS thing as surveys are not covered under it.

Telling them to remove from their database is futile, but you can find out where they are based by pretending to be interested and then send a section 11 DPA notice. Details of this are here (and many other places around the net if you wish to use your favourite search engine) http://www.mindmydata.co.uk/section11.asp Further to what is in that link, it doesn't matter whether the company argues they're not direct marketers or not. If they are required to stop processing your data, they have no option under DPA

The Data Protection Act has strong and very sharp teeth, unlike what we appear to get from TPS and similar. The benefit of this for those of us fed up with these calls is that companies are scared witless of it.

Look for the relevant stuff on Section 11 DPA and send the companies a notice. They can be royally shafted through courts under the DPA, so consider it as your friend.

Call from "UK Energy Assessment Company" 11:00 am.  Said I was on TPS and was handed over to female supervisor.  She said they were "backed by the Government" and are based in Glasgow.  She offered their phone number as 08458350606 but 1471 gave the 01412800251 number.
Checked on "UK Energy Assessment Co Ltd", an English company, and found they were struck off in 2011.  
Reported to TPS within 10 minutes of the call.

This company have repeatedly called but on answering there are only silent calls. I have protection with TPS and Sky who provide my telephone line who monitor these people as it is now considered illegal to silent call people. They appear to choose a time when a family are sitting down to a meal.I only mention this as it could be an OAP who they call and frighten them as to who is calling.It is both upsetting and menacing for older people but these people seem to be ignorant of their conduct could lead to a heart attack,brought on by stress or worse. It is time these people were either fined,warned or ceased to trade as they are nothing more than you would expect from a heavy breather or nuisance caller.

2 calls from this one today - I am registered with TPS - their message machine is full (surprise surprise)

They phone me at least once a week and usually nobody there.  They don't appear to know what the Telephone Preference List is as having pointed out to them, I'm on it, they keep phoning.

I answered -no-one there ?

Phoned me and hanged up

This number has now called me twice and hung up when i answered, nobody ever speaks.

Had four calls this morning but they don't answer.An office background noise can be heard.Dialled 1471 and got their number which I then phoned.Recorded answer announced their name as National Energy Research Group and that if I didn't want them to call again I should leave my name and number.A further message then said they couldn't take any more messages because there had been an error.I'll report to TPS and also bar their number 01412800251 on my phone.

Another bunch of con artists trying to sell you something you don't want. I'm on TPS so shouldn't get these calls

I received a call this morning from this number and they stated that they were from a goverment run scheme called the National Energy Research Group trying to sell me sollar panels when I said I had no money to pay for this she became more and more persistant I said I'm really not interested at all in a very non aggressive and nice manner the girl who was called Gillian said well get to f..k then and hung up how professional was that. I also tried to call back to complain to be unable to leave a message because the mailbox was full, HA HA HA its got scam written all over it.

Answering Machine responded to call - no message left.

Got the call this afternoon.  Was Mrs Wader there?

"Sprecen Sie Deutsche?"

and she hung up.

i admire your faith - but it aint gonna happen !!!

Waste of time, call all the time and get some ned on the phone who can barely speak never mind speak english.

well thank the Lord for the virginmedia caller ID tel feature! Unknown numbers get left for ansaphone in this house, I am a council tenant and couldnt do any repair by any solar panel scammers! I always GOOGLE the number and LO and BEHOLD hundreds of the calls end up here .I am on TPS, caller ID and answering machine, this is a residential number and is also ex directory, I have been called twice today, and ignored it, and there is a HUMAN caller as I heard them drop and clatter the phone at other end which was pickedup on answering machine before they rung off. I advise people to get caller ID and invets in an answering machine and only pick up if you know who is calling, a genuine person who misses you will ALWAYS  leave a message ! NEVER RING IT BACK COS IT COULD BE AUTOMATED TO A CALL BOX NUMBER OUTSIDE THE UK. it is a Glasgow code but could possibly be ROUTED from anywhere in the world , can never be up to these sort of rip off scamming b*stards.

IGNORE, UNPLUG PHONE LATE AT NIGHT OR PUT THE RINGER OFF IF THEY KEEP PESTERING YOU ,REMEMBER, YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO REPORT THEM, SO GET ONTO YOUR PROVIDERS AND ASK THEM TO BLOCK THIS NUMBER ,

I ONLY CHANGED MY HOUSE NUMBER RECENTLY AND I HAVE ONLY GIVE IT TO MY MUM AND SON AND SONS SCHOOL, DR AND DENTIST ,ANY OTHER PEOPLE CALL MY MOBILE. I NEVER FORM FILLED IT AND HAVE NO IDEA WHO SOLD THEM IT OR IF IT IS RANDOM???

Got a call from "Lindy" this evening during tea-time. She had a strong Scottish accent.

Like so many other cold callers, she fell into the easily-recognised trap of asking to speak to me as Mr. "X". Since my wife's surname is different from mine, it was immediately clear that she did not know who I was, and also that we had no formal pre-exisitng business relationship.

She rudely hung up without another word when I identified myself and asked what the call was about.

When I returned the call, I got the same message identified by previous contributors. I've registered with the TPS so I am very annoyed with these calls.  So disgraceful and outrageous.
