Just another spam/scam call, one of several today.  If nothing else, proving
(a) that the TPS is a total waste of space, and
(b) that BT haven't the slightest interest in countering this problem.

Number blocking should be a statutory service included in every phone contract.

0141 530 4547 is therefore a proven scam number belonging to a scam company. Were it not they would adhere to the TPS. This is why we report them to the ICO www.ico.gov.uk/complaints/marketing.aspx

Recorded message about solar panel, government grants, etc, etc.

Just received a call from this number.   I've just bought a new BT6500  phone that can block these nuisance calls.  Not having had a call from this number before, I've now put the number in for future blocking.

Go one a few weeks ago and its great.  Even though it only blocks 10 numbers I have found that, because the caller seems to be met with silence, because the 'phone does not ring and they cannot leave a message, they stop trying and after a couple of weeks you can remove the number and leave space for another one.  Looking through my calls list every few days its amazing how many calls it has blocked.

This number looked suspicious so I let the phone ring. I'm really getting fed up with such calls. Various different numbers in the past but they have all had similar approach. It seems that being registered with the TPS doesn't make any difference at all to this sort of thing.

Rang at 17:20 no message then phone went dead.

I received a call from this number this morning - let my answering machine pick up, but no message left.  I have had calls from this number before as I recognize it, so will  be reporting this to ICO - what a nuisance these calls are.

Calling on a Sunday, let alone Easter at 12:00 pm. As it was a Glasgow number I thought "maybe, just maybe, it will be someone I know". Of course it wasn't. I should just unplug the phone and be done with it. The only people who call the landline are spammers/scammers/telemarketers and the like. Annoying.

I answered a call from this number some months back.  Offered advice on photovoltaic panels and associated Government grants.  I said I had no interest in supposedly green energy whatsoever, and that we subscribed to TPS.  Since then I have been phoned on an almost daily basis by this number.  Even today, Easter Sunday, at 13:00.  Since the first and only contact with whoever is dialing, I've just let the call ring out to our answer machine.  No message has ever been left.

I know not how to stop this irritating and persistent intrusion.

Just came in to find this number on our last caller display...on a Easter Sunday?
Thought it was a relative from Glasgow calling as it was my birthday, only to find it went "dead" when called back.
Total f***wits whoever they are.
I'd gladly take a trip up there to sort them out given half a chance !!

Would you believe it, on Easter Day this number has rung both telephones in our house?! As the answer machines kicked in both times, they hung up without even playing a message.

This number called today, Easter Sunday, then rang off vwhen I answered. i phoned back and got the 'number unobtainable' tone therefore probably a call centre. Am on tps.

Called at 14:52 on Easter Sunday - I find that a bit strange as I don't seem to receive any sales/scam calls on a normal Sunday. Recorded message offering solar panels to householder on PAYE terms. (Does this mean the taxman will pick up the bill? ;-/  )

'Phoned today (Easter Sunday!).  Thanks to Caller Display we don't answer unknown calls now - if it's a genuine call they can leave a message.

I have pressed 8 too to be removed from the calling list but I still got calls to I opted for the sales pitch only to be told some one will call me back within the hour the call came in the next day by which time I had my speech ready! The caller asked for the person I bought the house off 15 years ago!!!!!!!! I told them I was on TPS and the call was being recorded and I was passing it on to be investegated and no I didn't want SOLAR PANELS!
